Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bruce Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Liam Boulton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Boulton is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Rocky Road To Dublin - Dropkick Murphy. Bruce Lee has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bruce Lee! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Liam Boulton! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Boulton stalks Lee and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Lee's face. Lee staggers backwards, shaken. Lee tries to clinch and Boulton counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Boulton wants to control from the top but Lee keeps moving. Lee wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Lee uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Boulton throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Boulton throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Lee's waist but Lee gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Boulton off to one side. Lee is looking to clinch but Boulton is avoiding it.
Boulton throws a nice inside leg kick. This has been an exciting period of action! Boulton shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Lee defends it nicely. Boulton gets a takedown into half guard. Lee keeping hold of Boulton's head, controlling as best he can.
That's one minute gone in the round. The fighters are battling for position here. Lee manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Lee has his foot on Boulton's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Boulton works his way back into a safe position though. Lee kicks Boulton off and gets to his feet. No luck with that takedown attempt from Lee. Lee looks to land a combination. Boulton sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Lee throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Boulton has taken the fight to the clinch.
Lee is looking to control Boulton's arms but Boulton gets an underhook and turns him. Now Lee has his back to the cage. Boulton with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Boulton. Boulton breaks the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lee tries to clinch and Boulton counters with a nice body kick. Boulton forces Lee back against the cage and clinches. Lee has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Boulton regains guard immediately. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Lee controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Lee chips away with some ground and pound. Lee controls from within his opponent's guard. Lee decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Boulton, up you get! Lee is breathing heavily. Boulton fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Lee, pushing him back against the cage. Boulton's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lee thuds his right hand into Boulton's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Lee moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. A nice combination there by Lee.
Lee scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Boulton swats away the attempt to clinch by Lee. Lee's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Lee duly obliges. Lee lands a jab-cross combination. Boulton tries to clinch up. Lee tries to clinch up but Boulton circles away and keeps his distance. Boulton fails with a takedown attempt. Bruce Lee has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Liam Boulton. Lee closes the distance looking to clinch and Boulton counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Boulton.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Boulton's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Lee shoots in and bounces Boulton off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Boulton working a defensive guard here.
Lee decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Lee throws a right hand that Boulton ducks under and follows up with a left that Boulton also avoids with ease. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Lee tries to bum rush Boulton with a series of wild strikes but Boulton uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Bruce Lee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Lee moves into the clinch. Boulton manages to break the clinch.
Lee lands a really nice looking cross but Boulton seems unphased.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Bruce Lee will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Boulton moves out of range of the leg kick from Lee. Boulton takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Lee is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Lee blocks a head kick by Boulton.

Boulton is looking to escape. Lee works his way into side control. Lee stands up and beckons Boulton to his feet. Lee moves in looking to clinch but Boulton pushes him off. Lee lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Boulton drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Lee manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Boulton stalling away here and it's allowed Lee to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lee wriggles free and stands up. Lee cracks Boulton with a good jab. Lee shoots in but Boulton avoids the takedown attempt easily. Boulton slips a jab and a cross from Lee.
Lee bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Boulton's head. Boulton misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Lee tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Boulton is able to avoid easily. Lee lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Lee tries for a takedown but Boulton sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Boulton circles away from the clinch attempt.

Boulton closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Lee quickly recovers to half guard. Boulton is just content to waste time from the top position. Lee takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Lee has a closed guard, preventing Boulton from standing up. Boulton must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Lee pulls Boulton in close to prevent any damage. Boulton is looking to work some ground and pound but Lee has wrist control. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Lee holds on and takes a little breather.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Boulton wants to get up but he can't break Lee's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Lee kicks Boulton off and gets to his feet. A momentary lapse in concentration from Boulton enables Lee to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Boulton manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Boulton wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Lee manages to pass to side control. Lee controlling the action here. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Lee frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bruce Lee dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Liam Boulton's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Lee lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Boulton backwards. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Boulton pulls Lee into guard.
Lee will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Lee gets to his feet - Boulton follows without any prompting. Lee tries to clinch up and Boulton counters with a shoot takedown. Lee fights it but they end up in guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Boulton has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Lee is proving hard to escape from. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Lee is on top in guard.
Boulton wants to control the position but Lee says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. Boulton really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lee. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Lee controlling the action here. Lee has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Lee working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lee stops Boulton from getting back to his feet.

Lee looks to land a combination. Boulton sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Lee is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Lee scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Lee is trying to break the clinch but Boulton has him pressed against the cage. Boulton manages to break the clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Lee moves to clinch but Boulton breaks away and Boulton moves into the clinch. Lee manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Lee is on top in guard.
Boulton is trying to control the position here. Lee has hold of a guillotine from the top though... oh, that looks naaaaasty, will Boulton tap? Yes he will! The fight is all over! Lee jumps to his feet and is applauded loudly by the crowd.
