Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Frederick Gibson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Antonio Peligrini (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Gibson might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Walk. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Frederick Gibson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Antonio Peligrini! The judges for this bout are , and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Peligrini misses with a double jab.
Gibson fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Peligrini misses with a series of wild punches.
Gibson throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Peligrini tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Gibson is in Peligrini's guard. Gibson trying to control the position from guard on top but Peligrini is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Peligrini lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Gibson! Gibson is wriggling around trying to escape.
Gibson tries to hold on but Peligrini pushes him away. Peligrini trying to control but he's not successful this time.
That's one minute gone in the round. Peligrini is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Gibson has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Gibson! Gibson looking to control the position here, rather than advance. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Peligrini is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Peligrini working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Gibson has passed into half guard!

That's two minutes gone in the round. Gibson controlling the pace for now. Peligrini regains half guard. Gibson looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Peligrini tries to roll over but Gibson keeps him under control. Gibson stalling.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Peligrini trying to get back to full guard but Gibson takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount! Peligrini looks gassed! Gibson controlling his opponent. Peligrini is in all sorts of trouble here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Gibson sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Peligrini keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Gibson wants to clinch. Peligrini tests Gibson's chin there with a solid looking shot. Gibson shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Gibson showed some decent athleticism there. Gibson wants to pass the guard but Peligrini is defending well. Gibson is taking a breather. Peligrini says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Peligrini is trying to escape back to his feet but Gibson uses the scramble to pass into side control.

Peligrini tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Gibson wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Peligrini is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Peligrini looks to move to half guard but instead Gibson has passed into mount! Damn! Peligrini is wriggling around trying to escape.
Gibson content just to control the position here. Gibson's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Frederick Gibson just wasn't active enough. Gibson tries to clinch there but Peligrini circles away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A punch combination from Gibson misses. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Peligrini blocks the body kick.
Gibson takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Frederick Gibson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Peligrini catches Gibson with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Gibson stalks Peligrini and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Peligrini's face. Peligrini staggers backwards, shaken.
It looks like Antonio Peligrini has been cut. Gibson looks to clinch and Peligrini counters with a leg kick. Peligrini missing with a left hand there. Gibson was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Peligrini fails to land with a series of punches.
Gibson scores with a decent looking hook. Gibson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Gibson is trying hard to land a takedown here. Peligrini sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Gibson avoids a punch combination nicely.

Peligrini looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Gibson puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Peligrini is looking to escape. Peligrini wants to get back to full guard but Gibson has mounted him! Peligrini manages to regain half guard. Good work. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Gibson prevents Peligrini from standing back up.

Gibson shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Frederick Gibson overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Peligrini wants to get back to his feet. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Peligrini wants to stand back up but Gibson manages to pass into side control.

Gibson gets to mount! Peligrini was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly. Peligrini is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.

Gibson seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Peligrini for as long as he can get away with.

enabling Gibson to counter with a crisp jab. No joy there for Peligrini, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Gibson throws a series of punches but Peligrini avoids them all with ease. Frederick Gibson is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Gibson lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Gibson. Gibson throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Peligrini was covering up waiting for the punch and Gibson finishes the takedown easily into guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Gibson not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Antonio Peligrini has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Gibson trying to control but Peligrini is working from the bottom.
And that's the end of the fight! Frederick Gibson showed his dominance in that final round. Well Gibson has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
