Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Djiara Takakeshi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mauricio Milani (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Takakeshi has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Djiara Takakeshi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mauricio Milani! The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Shigeki Sano and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Some wild striking there from Milani.
Takakeshi looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Milani scores with a nice right hand.
Milani's jab looks to have found its range, popping Takakeshi under the eye. A head kick from Milani lands but Takakeshi takes it in his stride. An inside leg kick lands from Milani. The crowd cheers as Milani lands an impressive looking overhand right. Takakeshi doesn't seem phased though. Milani shoots for a takedown but Takakeshi saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Takakeshi throws a head kick that misses and Milani connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Takakeshi walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Takakeshi has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Milani finds it's way round the side to connect with Takakeshi's head. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Milani tries to clinch up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Takakeshi takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Milani fails in his attempt to clinch. Milani throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Milani lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Djiara Takakeshi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Milani closes the distance and pushes Takakeshi back into the cage. Knees to the body from Milani.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Milani shoots in for a takedown but Takakeshi shows good takedown defense. Milani misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Djiara Takakeshi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mauricio Milani. Milani lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Milani breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Milani goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Milani changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Milani lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Milani tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Takakeshi paws at him with a jab and circles away. Takakeshi drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Takakeshi ducks right into an uppercut from Milani. Milani with a jab. The crowd cheers as Milani lands an impressive looking overhand right. Takakeshi doesn't seem phased though. Milani tries to clinch but Takakeshi is having none of it. Milani scores with a one two! Takakeshi had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Milani tries to clinch there but Takakeshi circles away.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Milani clinches. Milani wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Takakeshi has him pressed against the cage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mauricio Milani dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

That's one minute gone in the round. Nice straight punches there by Milani. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Milani. Takakeshi stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Takakeshi wants it to stay on the feet. Milani getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Milani feints a jab promting Takakeshi to slip. Milani then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Takakeshi slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Takakeshi circles away from the clinch attempt.
Takakeshi takes a kick to the side of the head. Milani digs a good body shot into Takakeshi's ribs. A jab lands there for Milani.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Milani tries to score a power double leg takedown but Takakeshi sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Milani somewhat. Djiara Takakeshi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mauricio Milani. Takakeshi circles away from the clinch attempt.
Milani forces Takakeshi back against the cage and clinches. Milani is trying to stall.
Milani is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Takakeshi is defending well for now. Milani lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Milani lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. Milani stalling in the clinch but Takakeshi improves position.

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Milani's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Milani fails with an attempt to clinch.

Milani feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Takakeshis jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Milani clinches up with Takakeshi and pushes him back against the cage. Milani wants to break free but Takakeshi has control.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Milani is trying to break the clinch but Takakeshi is controlling him. Milani lands an elbow that stopped Takakeshi in his tracks for a moment. Takakeshi blocks an elbow strike from Milani.
Milani creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Takakeshi's defenses. Takakeshi tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Takakeshi is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Milani pulls him back up using the underhooks.
That's one minute gone in the round. Milani wants to break free but Takakeshi has control.

Takakeshi takes a shot to the head. Milani lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Takakeshi backwards. A shot in the inside from Milani. Milani lands a knee to the body.
Mauricio Milani seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far. Milani is trying to push Takakeshi away but Takakeshi has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Milani lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. A battle for position here, against the cage. Milani has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Takakeshi blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Takakeshi dodges an elbow strike from Milani.
Takakeshi takes a shot to the head. Milani lands a damaging elbow. Milani throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Takakeshi blocks it with crossed arms. Takakeshi looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. Milani throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Milani tries a knee to the head but Takakeshi blocks it.
Milani lands an elbow just above Takakeshi 's eye. Milani trying to control the position but instead, Takakeshi has worked for underhooks and has pushed Milani into the cage. Milani on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Takakeshi jumps guard but Milani stands there with Takakeshi around his waist. Takakeshi gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Djiara Takakeshi. That's going to take a lot out of him. Takakeshi goes for a takedown attempt but Milani pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Takakeshi takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Takakeshi shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Milani sprawls well. Milani wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Takakeshi gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Takakeshi gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Milani moves in looking to clinch but Takakeshi pushes him off. Nice shot lands for Milani. Milani lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Milani tries to clinch there but Takakeshi circles away.
Mauricio Milani is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Milani connects with a high kick. Milani tries to close the distance and clinch but Takakeshi swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Milani with a body punch. A glancing blow. Takakeshi on the wrong end of a nice jab. Takakeshi walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Milani forces Takakeshi back against the cage and clinches. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Milani landing some nice looking knees to the body.
Milani lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. Djiara Takakeshi has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Takakeshi tries to land knees in the clinch but Milani avoids the damage to the body.
And that's the end of the fight! Mauricio Milani comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Milani has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
