Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tong Po (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Baker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tong Po! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, David Baker! The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Po misses with a hook
and Baker counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Baker looks to throw the jab but Po is out of range. Baker misses with a series of wild punches.
Baker keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Po fails with an attempt to clinch.
Baker lands a really nice looking cross but Po seems unphased.
Baker misses with a body punch
so Po counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Baker keeping moving, preventing Po from controlling successfully. Po passes easily into side control. Nice work. Po looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Baker is avoiding damage well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Baker tries to bench press Po off him but Po keeps the position. Po throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Baker works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure. Po seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Po missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Po is looking to pass Baker's guard but actually Baker recovers to full guard. Po wants to pass the guard but Baker is keeping the position. Po wants to control from the top but Baker keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Po pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Baker is keeping the position for now. Baker has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Po has passed into side control.
Sloppy strikes there by Po. Baker struggling a bit here. Po has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Baker is not content to let Po control the position. Po controls the position from side control. Po trying to control the position but Baker is working away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Po is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Baker is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Baker is looking for a sweep. Baker really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Po. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Po misses with the ground and pound. Baker is looking to regain half guard here but Po keeps moving and retains side control. Baker wants to control but Po postures up. Baker holds on tight, trying to prevent any damage. Baker regains half guard there - taking advantage of Po's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Po prevents Baker from standing back up.
Po looks to land a strike but Baker avoids it nicely and regains full guard. Baker is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Po trying to control but Baker is working from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Baker can do anything to dispel that myth. Po stands and throws Baker's legs to the side, diving into side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tong Po dominated that round. That's time! Po's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Po misses the shot to the body. Po shoots in looking for a takedown. Baker tries to sprawl out of it but Po keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Baker manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Po wants to clinch up but Baker keeps it at a distance. Po swings and misses with a shot to the body and Baker counters with a straight right hand. A jab from Baker does it's job there. Po tries to clinch but Baker moves away and Baker counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Po fails to land the takedown. Po tries to clinch up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Baker digs a good body shot into Po's ribs. Baker jabs Po to the body, keeping him at a distance. Baker moves into the clinch. Baker lands an elbow that stopped Po in his tracks for a moment. Baker working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Baker breaks from the clinch.
Po tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Po walks into a left hand. Baker scores with a jab. Po thows a left - swing and a miss! Po has his takedown stuffed and Baker connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tong Po. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Baker lands a really nice looking cross but Po seems unphased.
Po tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Baker paws at him with a jab and circles away. Po on the wrong end of a nice jab. Po takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Po needs to keep his hands up - Baker had a free shot at his head there. Po with a poor takedown and Baker counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Po pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Baker slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Po wants to clinch. Po wants to clinch and Baker counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Tong Po seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Po needs to keep his hands up - Baker had a free shot at his head there. A swing and a miss from Baker. Baker takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Po scores with a takedown into Baker's guard. Baker pushes Po off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. A left lands for Baker. David Baker is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Po throws an off balance right hand
and Baker counters with a stiff right hand. Baker throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Po on the side of the head. Po on the wrong end of a nice hook.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Baker misses with a lunging right hand
and Po counters with a slapping leg kick. Baker lands a nice shot that snaps Po's head back.
Baker cracks Po with a good jab. Baker lands a jab-cross combination. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Baker connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Po fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Baker throws a nice looking combination but Po bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Baker goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Po misses with a right hand and Po takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Po throws a right hand that misses
and Baker counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
David Baker showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!
Baker moves into range and connects with a jab. Po fails with the takedown enabling Baker to counter with a crisp jab. Po shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Baker's guard. Baker is trying to control the position from the bottom.

OK we're going to have a standup here. David Baker hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Baker closes the distance and clinches. Baker is trying to break free. Po looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. Baker lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Po or not. Po looking to stall.
Baker lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Baker lands a right hand that snaps the head of Po backwards. Po tries to work over Baker's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Baker pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Po tries to clinch up. Baker cracks Po with a right hand to the side of the head. Po tries to clinch and Baker counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Po misses with a low kick. Baker scores with a decent looking hook. Po with a lazy takedown attempt and Baker counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Baker using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Po has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Baker pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Po misses with a wild body shot. A shot to the body from Po misses and Baker connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Po with a lazy takedown attempt and Baker counters with a stiff right hand. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tong Po. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Po is defended easily by Baker. Good standup being displayed there by Baker as he connects with a hook. Baker lands a two punch combo.
Baker lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. David Baker is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Baker ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Baker stuffs the takedown attempt from Po. Po gets slowly back to his feet. Baker lands with a good body shot. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Po with a poor takedown and Baker counters with a nice body shot.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Baker rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Po moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Po throws a lazy uppercut
and Baker counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Po moves out of range of the leg kick from Baker. Po attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Po on the wrong end of a nice jab. Baker scores with a hook to the body. Po takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Po misses with a left hand and Baker connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Baker throws a wild body kick that Po sees coming a mile off. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Po tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Baker swivels and escapes. Po misses the body punch and Po takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
And that's the end of the fight! David Baker comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Baker has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
