Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 21 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Zacharius Pendragon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, George Romero! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Robert Twigg and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Romero misses with a takedown attempt and Pendragon counters with a straight right hand.
It looks like George Romero has been cut. Pendragon gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Romero counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Pendragon's guard now. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Pendragon has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Romero is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Pendragon. Pendragon is trying to get back to half guard. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! A punch combination from Pendragon misses. Pendragon keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
