The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Borges tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Aszad counters with a nice right hand that sends Borges toppling to the canvas! Borges scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Aszad finish him?!
It looks like Matheus Borges has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Aszad is trying hard to land a takedown here. Borges sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Borges gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Aszad counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Borges is rocked!
Aszad arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Borges's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!
