And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 4 - 1, fighting out of New York, Joe Fredericks!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Robert Douchet and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A low kick from Fredericks is predictable there
and Carlson counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.


It looks like Joe Fredericks has been cut.
Fredericks lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Carlson misses with a head kick.
Carlson walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Fredericks with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Joe Fredericks seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Fredericks dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Carlson. That did some damage!

and Carlson counters with a left and a right that stings Fredericks.

Fredericks connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Carlson is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
Carlson bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Some bone on bone action there as Carlson checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Fredericks buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Carlson fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Fredericks, pushing him back against the cage.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Fredericks's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

That was a close round but I would say that Chester Carlson will probably get the nod.

Fredericks's jab looks to have found its range, popping Carlson under the eye.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Fredericks just misses with a elbow thrown towards Carlson's brow.
