0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Clint Johnsson! The judges for this bout are James Glass, James Ackerman and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Yates shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Johnsson counters with a straight right hand. Johnsson scores a takedown into full mount! Yates is looking to get to half guard. Johnsson lands a big shot there that rocks Yates but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Yates is looking to improve his position but Johnsson isn't that keen on the idea. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Johnsson is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Yates can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Johnsson cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Johnsson jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Yates manages to avoid the submission attempt. Johnsson lands a few punches from side control. Johnsson working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Johnsson is putting a hurting on Yates here, landing some big shots from side control. Yates tries to bench press Johnsson off him but Johnsson keeps the position. Yates takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Yates takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
