Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Unstop Able!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Damien Edna and Winston Howard.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Able comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Able swings widly with a right hand
and Santos counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Santos throws a left and a right that both miss
and Able connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Santos tries to clinch
and Able counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Santos tries to bum rush Able with a series of wild strikes but Able uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Able lands a lovely overhand right.
Santos doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Able misses with a hook
and Santos cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Santos lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Able has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Able and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Santos fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Able manages to avoid it.

and Santos counters with a series of strikes that sends Able to the canvas! Santos follows down into guard, looking to finish the fight!

Able is looking to stand back up but Santos counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Able.

Santos decides to stand and escape the position.

Santos moves in looking to clinch but Able pushes him off.
Able rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Santos connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Santos misses the jab.
Santos tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Able manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Able throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Santos wants to clinch.
We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Able in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Santos here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Santos scores with a one two! Able had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
