Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Seb Williams!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 1, fighting out of London, Neil Sankar!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Colin Fotheringham and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sankar shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Sankar trying to mount his opponent but Williams defends it.
Sankar throws a strike but Williams avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
Williams is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Sankar is controlling him.
Williams keeping moving, preventing Sankar from controlling successfully.
Williams might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Williams is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Williams is looking for a triangle but Sankar pushes his legs off easily.

Williams is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Sankar defends well.
Williams wants to stand but Sankar is controlling the position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sankar is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Sankar throws a strike but Williams rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Sankar is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Williams is breathing heavily.

Sankar looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Williams with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Sankar stalling away here and it's allowed Williams to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
Sankar stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Williams swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Sankar postures up in Williams's guard and throws a big left but Williams blocks it.
Sankar really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Williams. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Williams controls Sankar momentarily but Sankar frees himself.

Sankar shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Williams pinned against the cage. Williams gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Neil Sankar showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Sankar accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Neil Sankar wasn't active enough on the ground.

Sankar changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Williams looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Sankar is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Williams's shoulder. That is not cool.
Check out the look on Sankar's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!

Sankar lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Williams down.
Williams is not content to let Sankar control the position.
Sankar is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Williams tries to bench press Sankar off him but Sankar keeps the position.

Neil Sankar is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Neil Sankar hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Sankar shoots for a double leg takedown but Williams sprawls well. He's pushed Sankar's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Seb Williams has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

I've got Sankar winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
