Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nolan Schmidt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robert Baumgartner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Baumgartner is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Knock you out. Robert Baumgartner told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Gregory Folan and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schmidt tries to close the distance and clinch up but Baumgartner swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Schmidt fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Baumgartner sprawls well initially but Schmidt persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Schmidt is looking to advance position but Baumgartner won't allow it.
Schmidt wants to work for an arm triangle but Baumgartner is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Baumgartner can do anything to dispel that myth.
Baumgartner avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Schmidt.
Schmidt throwing shots but Baumgartner is blocking nicely.
Schmidt is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Schmidt drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Schmidt misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
