Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Joshin Hishorimi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brando Velasco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Joshin Hishorimi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Brando Velasco! The judges for this bout are William Gold, Steven Brown and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hishorimi shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Hishorimi looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Hishorimi controlling his opponent. Velasco is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Hishorimi stands up from mount. Strange move. Hishorimi fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Velasco manages to avoid it. Velasco throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Velasco misses with a takedown attempt and Hishorimi counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Hishorimi stands and steps away. Velasco gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Velasco with a lazy takedown attempt and Hishorimi counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Hishorimi is thwarting Velasco's attempts to control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hishorimi perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Hishorimi trying to advance position but Velasco counters by regaining guard. Hishorimi sitting in guard here, content to control.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Joshin Hishorimi wasn't doing enough on the ground. Velasco gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Hishorimi to score an easy takedown into full guard. Hishorimi controlling from the top position.

Velasco being controlled here, momentarily. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Velasco is on top in guard.
Hishorimi pushes Velasco off and scrambles back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hishorimi shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Velasco's guard. Hishorimi is breathing heavily. Hishorimi prevents Velasco from getting back to his feet. Hishorimi looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

We're going to have a standup here because Joshin Hishorimi wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Velasco tries to clinch but Hishorimi is having none of it. Hishorimi throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Velasco counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Hishorimi! Velasco moves to the back. Hishorimi is keeping busy.
Hishorimi is trying to stand back up. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Velasco gets his hands free as Hishorimi looks to control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Velasco has a takedown stuffed. Velasco circles away from the clinch attempt.
Hishorimi shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Velasco manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Hishorimi regains half guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Hishorimi is trying to get back to full guard. Velasco wants to stand up but Hishorimi has a hold of him and won't allow it.

Hishorimi wants to stand up but Velasco is controlling him. Velasco drops back looking for a leg! Hishorimi is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Hishorimi manages to kick Velasco off! Velasco jumps back into Hishorimi's guard. Velasco trying to control but Hishorimi is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Velasco postures up.
Velasco won't allow Hishorimi to get back to his feet. Velasco trying to control but Hishorimi is working from the bottom. Velasco trying to stand up but can't free himself from Hishorimi's guard. Velasco really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hishorimi. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Velasco throws a big right hand that misses.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Brando Velasco wasn't active enough on the ground. Velasco plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Velasco throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Hishorimi. Velasco looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Hishorimi is fending him off so far but Velasco persists. Nope, Hishorimi circles away and we're back to standing. Hishorimi misses with a shot to the body and Velasco counters with a nice kick to the body. Velasco tries to clinch but Hishorimi moves out of range. Velasco fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Joshin Hishorimi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brando Velasco. Velasco fails with the takedown and Hishorimi counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Velasco! Hishorimi controlling the pace for now. Hishorimi with the ground and pound from mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hishorimi tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Hishorimi throwing strikes here but Velasco is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Hishorimi can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Velasco is looking to escape. Velasco wants to control but Hishorimi is having none of it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hishorimi prevents Velasco from getting the reversal. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Joshin Hishorimi dominated that second round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!
Velasco shoots in for a double leg but Hishorimi sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Hishorimi takes a swing at Velasco's ribcage but misses. Hishorimi misses with a shot to the body and Velasco counters by clinching up. Hishorimi tries to work over Velasco's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Velasco can't get the takedown.
Velasco tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Hishorimi smiles and moves away.
Joshin Hishorimi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brando Velasco. Hishorimi feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Hishorimi might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Hishorimi is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Velasco trying to control the position.

That's one minute gone in the round. Hishorimi stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. Hishorimi drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Hishorimi looking to pass the guard. Joshin Hishorimi overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Velasco working a defensive guard here.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Hishorimi looking to sit in guard and control but Velasco gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Hishorimi looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Velasco trying to control but Hishorimi is working from the bottom. Velasco working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Hishorimi holds on and takes a little breather. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Velasco has his takedown stuffed and Hishorimi counters with a shoot takedown. Velasco fights it but they end up in guard. Velasco is trying to keep Hishorimi in close.
Hishorimi stays in close to Velasco's body and controls the position. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Hishorimi stands and steps away. Velasco gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Velasco is looking to clinch but Hishorimi is avoiding it.

Hishorimi tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Danga de danga de dang - Velasco scores with a four punch combination! Velasco stalks Hishorimi and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Hishorimi's face. Hishorimi staggers backwards, shaken. Hishorimi closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Velasco quickly recovers to half guard. Hishorimi sitting and controlling from the half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Joshin Hishorimi showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Hishorimi, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
