Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Edgar Allen Poe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yance Sackett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Poe's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Heartbeats. Sackett has chosen Boulevard of Broken Dreams as his entrance music. Edgar Allen Poe is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

The judges for this bout are George Francis, Stewart Dunkirk and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sackett throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Poe counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Sackett has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Poe finds it's way round the side to connect with Sackett's head.
Poe really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Sackett jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Poe throws out a leg kick but Sackett moves out of range and Poe only half commits.
Sackett misses with a hook
and Poe counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Sackett throws an off balance right hand
and Poe counters with a good, hard body kick but Sackett shrugs it off.
Sackett looks to throw a body kick
enabling Poe to counter with a crisp jab.
A big left from Poe misses.
Sackett misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Poe counters with a left to the body.
Sackett scores with a jab to the head.
Sackett falls off balance throwing a combination
and Poe counters with a nice uppercut.

and Poe connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

and Poe counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Poe is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

A looping hook to the body misses from Sackett. Poe does a little dance to reset his feet.
Poe on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Sackett misses with an uppercut. Poe saw that one coming.
Poe takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
A decent looking cross lands there for Sackett.

Sackett throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Sackett drops Poe with a left and a right! Oh, Poe is hurt - Sackett dives into side control looking to finish!
Poe is rocked!

Poe on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Poe tries to get out of the position.
Sackett is trying to get an arm triangle but Poe is defending well.
Poe knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sackett on the ground.

Sackett works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.

Poe tries to reverse the position but Sackett maintains control.
Sackett looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Sackett scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Poe?
Sackett is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Poe has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Poe is working to get back to half guard.
Sackett has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Sackett connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Sackett might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Poe kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Poe wants to control but Sackett is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Poe takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Sackett is landing with some decent strikes but Poe is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Poe is in a horrible position here. Sackett smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Oh Poe is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Sackett tries to control but Poe wriggling away.
Sackett loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Poe scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Sackett land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Sackett stands and salutes the crowd.
