Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ryu Tanaka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Panameno (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ryu Tanaka! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, John Panameno! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, William Peck and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Panameno shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Tanaka as he avoids it easily. Panameno fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Tanaka looks to land a combination. Panameno sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Panameno shoots in but Tanaka avoids the takedown attempt easily. Ryu Tanaka has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Panameno. Panameno fails with the takedown. Tanaka clinches up with Panameno and pushes him back against the cage. Panameno takes an elbow to the temple.
It looks like John Panameno has been cut. Tanaka breaks the clinch.
Tanaka sets himself and throws a head kick that knocks Panameno to the ground! Tanaka dives into full mount looking to finish!
Panameno is rocked! Panameno is wriggling around trying to escape.
Panameno is still on wobbly legs! Can Tanaka finish him? Panameno tries to lock up and control but Tanaka gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Panameno seems to have recovered his senses. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Tanaka cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Panameno wants to hold on but Tanaka pushes him away. Tanaka with the ground and pound from mount. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Panameno really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Panameno wants to control but Tanaka is having none of it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tanaka throwing strikes here but Panameno is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Tanaka pushing the pace here, looking to move to his opponents back and work for a finish.
Panameno slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Tanaka thows a huge punch but Panameno dodges it nicely.
Tanaka wants to stand but Panameno has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Panameno slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Tanaka being controlled here momentarily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Tanaka preventing the sweep. Tanaka working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Tanaka. Panameno is trying to control the position but Tanaka postures up. Tanaka looking to sit in guard and control but Panameno gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Panameno pushing down on Tanaka's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Panameno is looking to take a break and control but Tanaka is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Tanaka manages to get to full guard.
Panameno trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Panameno makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
It looks like Ryu Tanaka has been cut. Panameno trying to control the position from guard on top but Tanaka is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Panameno stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Tanaka swivels though and keeps the full guard. Panameno postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Tanaka keeping moving, preventing Panameno from controlling successfully. Panameno trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Panameno trying to control the position from guard on top but Tanaka is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Panameno preventing the sweep. Tanaka has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Panameno off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Tanaka lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Tanaka scores with a leg kick.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ryu Tanaka dominated that round. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Tanaka throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Panameno. John Panameno seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Panameno has a takedown stuffed. Tanaka closes the distance and clinches. Tanaka breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Panameno takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Panameno fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Tanaka gets a clinch. Tanaka with an attempt at a knee that misses.

Nice body kick from Tanaka. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Panameno. Tanaka throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Panameno is breathing heavily. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Tanaka gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Tanaka landing knees to the head.

Ryu Tanaka is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Panameno drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Panameno wants to control but Tanaka is keeping him busy. Tanaka is looking for a sweep. Panameno scores with punches from side control.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Ryu Tanaka's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
