Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dee Nice!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Frosty Bredejongen!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Wesley Smith and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A slow jab from Bredejongen misses its intended target.
Bredejongen wants to clinch

and Nice counters with a takedown into side control.
Nice tries to advance to mount but Bredejongen denies him.

Nice tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Bredejongen dodges the ground and pound from Nice.
Bredejongen stops Nice from passing to mount.
Nice throwing strikes but missing, from side control.
Nice is looking to take a break and control but Bredejongen is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Nice is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Bredejongen is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Bredejongen wants to control but Nice postures up.

Nice decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Bredejongen tries to bum rush Nice with a series of wild strikes but Nice uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Frosty Bredejongen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nice closes this distance looking for a takedown but Bredejongen circles away.
Bredejongen misses with a hook. Nice ducked under it nicely.
Bredejongen fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Bredejongen enables Nice to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Bredejongen manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Bredejongen is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Nice off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.

Nice has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Bredejongen is in a bad position with Nice working for a choke. Bredejongen manages to spin nicely into guard and the danger is over for the moment.

Nice working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bredejongen doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bredejongen manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Bredejongen must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Nice shoots in looking for a takedown but Bredejongen manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Nice's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Nice throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Bredejongen was covering up waiting for the punch and Nice finishes the takedown easily into guard.

and Nice holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Bredejongen creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Bredejongen wants to stall.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Bredejongen.
Nice jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Bredejongen walks away with a smile on his face. Nice gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dee Nice. That's going to take a lot out of him.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Nice decides to stand up, so the ref orders Bredejongen to his feet.

Bredejongen's jab looks to have found its range, popping Nice under the eye.


It looks like Dee Nice has been cut.

Bredejongen really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Nice. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Nice slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Nice, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
