Lao comes to the cage accompanied by Terminator T-800 Song. The crowd seem to be enjoying Knowles's choice of entrance music: Enya - Boadicea (Hardstyle Remix). Lyndon Knowles has the eye of the tiger tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lao throws a left and a right that both miss

and Knowles counters by clinching up.
Lao tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Knowles smiles and moves away.

Knowles lands a big head kick that sends Lao tumbling to the mat! Knowles takes a step backwards and waves Lao back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Knowles throws a front kick that sends Lao stumbling back into the cage.
Lao walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Lao has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Knowles finds it's way round the side to connect with Lao's head.

Knowles throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Lao was covering up waiting for the punch and Knowles finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Knowles has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Lao is proving hard to escape from.

Knowles feints a jab promting Lao to slip. Knowles then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Lao slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Knowles throws a right and a left that Lao avoids nicely.

Knowles takes the fight into the clinch.

Knowles breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Knowles is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Lao had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Knowles looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

and Knowles counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Knowles fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Lao, pushing him back against the cage.

Good leg kick by Knowles there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Knowles throws a quick inside leg kick.

Knowles throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Knowles dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Knowles thumps Lao with a low kick.
Lao takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Lao takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lao closes the distance and clinches up with Knowles, looking for a takedown. Lao pushes Knowles against the cage but Knowles circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Knowles throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Knowles feints with a jab and clips Lao right behind the ear with a massive overhand right! Lao is sent crashing into the canvas and Knowles leaps in for the kill! Lao tries to get to his feet but Knowles is just battering him from every conceivable angle. The ref decides that Lao is in need of a savior and steps in!
