Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Francis Cardon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jamalski Ramirezovic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Francis Cardon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jamalski Ramirezovic! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Frank Dennis and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cardon thuds a left hand into Ramirezovic's body. Ramirezovic wants to clinch and Cardon counters with a single leg into guard. Ramirezovic didn't expect that. Cardon gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Ramirezovic gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Cardon to score an easy takedown into full guard. Cardon controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
That's one minute gone in the round. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Cardon passes easily into side control. Nice work. Cardon decides to stand back up. The fight moves into the clinch position. Ramirezovic tries to land a knee to the head but Cardon blocks with his arms.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Cardon is trying to force a seperation but Ramirezovic has the dominant position. Ramirezovic throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Cardon jumps guard but Ramirezovic stands there with Cardon around his waist. Cardon gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Ramirezovic throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Cardon blocks it with crossed arms. Cardon has picked Ramirezovic up - he's going for a ride! Cardon dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Cardon controlling the action here. Cardon landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ramirezovic is in trouble now - Cardon has advanced to mount! Ramirezovic avoids a series of strikes thrown by Cardon.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cardon fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Ramirezovic wants to clinch but Cardon slips to the side and Cardon decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Ramirezovic's guard. Cardon works a leg free and moves into half guard. Cardon is breathing heavily. Cardon keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Cardon is looking for a kimura but Ramirezovic is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Cardon to get the leverage. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Cardon in particular looking to stall.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cardon looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Ramirezovic has taken the fight to the clinch.
Cardon wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Ramirezovic tries a knee to the head but Cardon blocks it.
Cardon ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Cardon no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Cardon has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Ramirezovic can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Ramirezovic trying to control but Cardon is working from the bottom. Ramirezovic pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Cardon is keeping the position for now. Ramirezovic wanted to stand there but Cardon had control of the position. Ramirezovic preventing the sweep. Francis Cardon overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. The ref stands the fighters back up. Jamalski Ramirezovic was stalling too much, according to the referee. The fight stays on the outside here - Ramirezovic looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Cardon throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Ramirezovic was covering up waiting for the punch and Cardon finishes the takedown easily into guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Ramirezovic being controlled here, momentarily. Ramirezovic looking for a sweep. Not yet Ramirezovic, not yet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cardon content to stall in guard here. Cardon won't allow Ramirezovic to get back to his feet. Cardon tries to free his leg and advance position but Ramirezovic is retaining full guard.
Francis Cardon has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Ramirezovic moves to clinch but Cardon breaks away and Cardon counters with a nice double leg into side control. Ramirezovic won't be happy with that. Cardon is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Ramirezovic knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Cardon has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cardon with a lazy takedown attempt and Ramirezovic makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Cardon really felt that one! Ramirezovic tries to clinch but Cardon is having none of it. Ramirezovic tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Cardon paws at him with a jab and circles away. Francis Cardon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ramirezovic scores with a head kick. Cardon tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
It looks like Francis Cardon has been cut. Francis Cardon is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Cardon swats away the attempt to clinch by Ramirezovic. Ramirezovic pushes Cardon up against the cage in a clinch. Ramirezovic landing knees to the head.

That was a close second round but I would say that Francis Cardon will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Francis Cardon's cut. That's time! Cardon's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Ramirezovic moves to clinch but Cardon breaks away and Cardon counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Ramirezovic's guard now. Cardon sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Ramirezovic's guard. Cardon throwing shots but Ramirezovic is blocking nicely. Cardon wants to work for an arm triangle but Ramirezovic is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

That's one minute gone in the round. Ramirezovic has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Cardon is working away from the top position though. Cardon throwing shots but Ramirezovic is blocking nicely. Cardon thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Ramirezovic's head. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Ramirezovic really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cardon. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Ramirezovic is refusing to be controlled, as Cardon sits in half guard.
We're going to have a standup here because Francis Cardon wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Cardon closes the distance and clinches up with Ramirezovic, looking for a takedown. Cardon pushes Ramirezovic against the cage but Ramirezovic circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Ramirezovic lands a head kick!

Cardon is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Ramirezovic is just riding it out for now. Cardon eventually gives up the hold. Ramirezovic is not content to let Cardon control the position. Francis Cardon is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cardon is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Ramirezovic is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Ramirezovic trying to control but Cardon postures up.

And that's the end of the fight! Francis Cardon showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Cardon, winning every round. Will the judges agree?
