The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, James Atkins and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Byrne misses with a takedown attempt
enabling Goodwin to counter with a crisp jab.

Goodwin needs to keep his hands up - Byrne had a free shot at his head there.
It looks like Craig Goodwin has been cut.
Byrne falls off balance throwing a combination

OK we're going to have a standup here. Craig Goodwin hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Goodwin closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Byrne quickly recovers to half guard.
Goodwin has decided to stand back up but his arm is trapped. Whilst he's worrying about his arm, Byrne works to full guard.
Byrne is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Goodwin frees his head nicely. Oh but Byrne has switched to an armbar! Goodwin is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
