Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sub Zero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lance Uppercut (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zero comes to the cage accompanied by Vanilla Ice - Ice Ice Baby. Sub Zero has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 22 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sub Zero!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Lance Uppercut!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Taro Takaoka and Hirohito Nitta.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Uppercut just misses with a punch to the body.
Zero uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Uppercut.
Uppercut rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
enabling Zero to counter with a crisp jab.
Uppercut thows a body shot but no joy.
Uppercut throws a poor cross that misses
and Zero counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Uppercut lands with a nice body punch.
Zero throws a hook but Uppercut blocks it.
Zero fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Uppercut lands a jab to the head.

Zero shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Zero prevents Uppercut from getting the reversal.

Zero is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Uppercut has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Uppercut!
Uppercut passes Zero's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Uppercut is looking to advance position but Zero won't allow it.

Zero actively working from the bottom here.
Uppercut works his way into side control.
Uppercut is putting a hurting on Zero here, landing some big shots from side control.
Uppercut is looking to take a break and control but Zero is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Zero tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Uppercut wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Zero regains half guard.
Uppercut is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Zero!
Zero is desperately trying to improve his position but Uppercut has a good base and remains in mount.

Uppercut lands a big shot there that rocks Zero but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Uppercut has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Uppercut prevents Zero from getting the reversal.

Uppercut is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Zero to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Zero shrugs it off.
Zero is squirming around, avoiding Uppercut's attempts to control the action.

Zero is desperately trying to improve his position but Uppercut has a good base and remains in mount.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Zero takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Uppercut lands a heavy elbow.
Uppercut controlling from the full mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Uppercut looking to control but Zero is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Uppercut scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Zero manages to regain half guard. Good work.

Zero is defending against the submission attempts here by Uppercut.
Uppercut is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Uppercut is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Zero can't escape the position.

Uppercut is landing with some decent strikes but Zero is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Zero regains half guard.
Uppercut passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Zero!
Uppercut can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Zero is looking to escape.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Uppercut looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Uppercut has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Zero's face.
Zero is desperately trying to improve his position but Uppercut has a good base and remains in mount.
Uppercut with shots to the head and body - Zero looks very uncomfortable down there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lance Uppercut dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Uppercut manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Zero thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Uppercut is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Zero's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Zero's back!

Uppercut has his opponent's back and is working for the choke.
Zero turns into Uppercut and is now in his guard.
Uppercut looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Zero will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Zero throwing strikes from guard but Uppercut blocks nicely.
Uppercut tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Zero has gone for a leg lock! Uppercut slips out almost immediately though and dives into Zero's guard.
Uppercut is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

Uppercut lands a couple of elbows.
Uppercut passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Lance Uppercut has got the better of the ground game so far.
Uppercut wants to control but Zero is keeping him busy.
Zero tries to bench press Uppercut off him but Uppercut keeps the position.

Uppercut has hold of Zero's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Zero tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Uppercut cranks the arm and Zero screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Zero, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:53 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Lance Uppercut! Lance Uppercut retains his welterweight title!
