Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Killerbee Navarro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mongo Chirino (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mongo Chirino is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Killerbee Navarro!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mongo Chirino!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Ben Zyskovitsi and Arvi Lind.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Navarro is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Mongo Chirino seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Navarro throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Navarro could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Chirino clinches up against the cage.

Navarro gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Chirino controlling the position well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Chirino moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Navarro throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Chirino works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Chirino keeping moving, preventing Navarro from controlling successfully.
Navarro has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Navarro is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Chirino is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Navarro accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Navarro has gone for a leg lock! Chirino slips out almost immediately though and dives into Navarro's guard.
Chirino is pushing down on Navarro's leg trying to pass to half guard. Navarro is fighting to maintain full guard but Chirino has managed to sneak the leg through.

Navarro wants to control but Chirino is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Navarro has hold of Chirino's hands but Chirino slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Chirino lands a nice short elbow.
Navarro is refusing to be controlled, as Chirino sits in half guard.
Navarro on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Navarro tries to get out of the position.
Chirino tries to pass the half guard into mount. Navarro knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Navarro has hold of Chirino's hands but Chirino slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Chirino thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Navarro's head.

Navarro wants to improve his position but Chirino is controlling well.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Chirino working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Chirino looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Navarro with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Navarro is staying active underneath Chirino, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Navarro knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Chirino on the ground.
Chirino stops Navarro from getting back to his feet.
Navarro is breathing heavily.
Chirino trying to control from half guard but Navarro is working away.
Chirino has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Chirino seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Navarro wants to get back to full guard.
Chirino seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Navarro does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mongo Chirino dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

so Navarro counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Chirino lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Navarro!
Navarro is in a horrible position here. Chirino smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Chirino lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
