Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lance Erickson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Oliver Pocher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Erickson comes to the cage accompanied by Of Wolf And Man - Metallica. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Lance Erickson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Oliver Pocher! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Erickson shoots in but no luck this time. Pocher tries to clinch up but Erickson circles away and keeps his distance. Erickson shoots for a takedown but Pocher saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Pocher is looking to clinch. Pocher fails with an attempt to clinch.
Erickson tests Pocher's chin there with a solid looking shot. Erickson darts in and clinches Pocher up against the cage. Erickson tries to pull guard but Pocher holds him up against the cage and eventually Erickson drops back down to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lance Erickson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Pocher with a knee to the head.
Erickson is trying to trip Pocher. He has hold of a leg but Pocher is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Erickson persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Erickson looking to pass the guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Erickson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Pocher managing to control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Erickson makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Pocher seems keen to control Erickson's posture. Pocher looking for a sweep. Not yet Pocher, not yet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Pocher wants to control the position but Erickson says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. Erickson is looking to take a break and control but Pocher is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Pocher wants to control but Erickson is keeping busy and won't allow it. Pocher gets back to full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Erickson stopping the sweep attempt from Pocher. Pocher trying to control the position.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Erickson shoots for a takedown but Pocher saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Erickson fails to land the takedown. Erickson looks for a takedown but Pocher sprawls well. Erickson is breathing heavily. Erickson misses with the combination.
Pocher tries to clinch but Erickson moves away and Erickson counters with a stiff right hand. Pocher tries to clinch but Erickson moves away and Erickson counters with a straight right hand. Pocher tries to close the distance and clinch up but Erickson swats him away and circles back towards the center. Pocher tries to clinch and Erickson counters by moving into the clinch. Pocher lands a nice knee to the body. Pocher with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Come on Pocher - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Erickson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Pocher closes the distance but Erickson moves to the side enabling Erickson to counter with a crisp jab. Pocher tries to clinch up and Erickson counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Erickson throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Erickson misses with a head shot. Pocher uses the momentum to regain guard. Pocher lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Erickson! Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Erickson is trying to escape the mount.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Erickson sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Erickson tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Pocher has advanced to mount. Uh oh. Pocher tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Pocher breaks from Erickson's wrist control and lands an elbow. Pocher blocks Erickson's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom. Pocher tries to control but Erickson wriggling away. Erickson is trying to stand. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Erickson wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back. Erickson staying busy and making it hard for Pocher to control. Erickson manages to reverse the position and now he's in Pocher's guard. Nice work there by Erickson.

Pocher closes the distance looking to clinch and Erickson counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Erickson wants to stand up but Pocher is controlling the position.
Erickson is thwarting Pocher's attempts to control the position. Pocher blocking the ground and pound attempt from Erickson. Erickson trying to pass the guard but Pocher defending well. Erickson could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Pocher regains full guard. Nicely done. Pocher looking for a guillotine here but Erickson defends easily.
Erickson wants to pass the guard but Pocher is keeping the position. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Pocher has a closed guard, preventing Erickson from standing up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Erickson throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Pocher works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Pocher is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Erickson lands a couple of elbows. Erickson wants to stand but Pocher is controlling his posture from full guard. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Pocher holds on and takes a little breather. Pocher bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Erickson's guard. Erickson looking to hit a scissor sweep but Pocher is one step ahead there. Pocher slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pocher tries to free his leg and advance position but Erickson is retaining full guard. Pocher passes into half guard. Erickson looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Erickson is in trouble now - Pocher has advanced to mount! Erickson tries to get back to half guard but can't. Erickson regains half guard. Erickson actively working from the bottom here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pocher trying to control the pace. Erickson is trying to stand.
Pocher seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Erickson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Pocher frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Pocher trying to control but he's not successful this time. Pocher works his way to his opponent's back.
Good control from Pocher. Pocher doesn't have the hooks in and Erickson manages to turn into his guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pocher looking to hit a scissor sweep but Erickson is one step ahead there. Lance Erickson overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Pocher is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Erickson throws a big right hand that misses. Erickson preventing the sweep. Erickson pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Pocher is keeping the position for now. Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Pocher closes the distance but Erickson moves to the side and Erickson counters with a nice kick to the body. Erickson looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Erickson circles away from the clinch attempt and Erickson counters with a right hand to the body. Pocher moves in looking to clinch but Erickson pushes him off. Pocher gets in close and instigates a clinch. Erickson tries to pull guard but Pocher won't allow it.

That was a close second round but I would say that Lance Erickson will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! And we move into the final round!
Pocher tries to clinch but fails miserably and Erickson counters with a single leg into guard. Pocher didn't expect that. Pocher wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Pocher throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Pocher holds on and takes a little breather. Erickson wants to control from the top but Pocher keeps moving. Pocher tries to strike from the bottom.
Pocher has his hands on Erickson's head, controlling the position. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Erickson would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Pocher is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pocher is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Erickson! Pocher controlling his opponent. Erickson is trying to escape the mount.
BOOM! Pocher connects with a massive shot to the dome!

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Pocher controlling his opponent. Erickson flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.

Pocher controlling the pace for now. Erickson manages to regain half guard. Good work. Pocher trying to control the action but Erickson is working from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Erickson is on the bottom, trying to hold on to half guard. He's throwing a few small shots here, to keep his opponent honest. Pocher controlling the action here. Erickson is not content to let Pocher control the position. Pocher is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Pocher is tying to control. Erickson wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Pocher prevents Erickson from improving his position.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Pocher tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Erickson feints and as Pocher raises his hands in defense, Erickson changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Erickson pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Pocher is keeping the position for now. Pocher wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Erickson manages to pass to side control. Pocher wants to get back to full guard. Oliver Pocher has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Erickson trying to control the action but Pocher is working from the bottom. Pocher trying to hold on to Erickson's head to control him but Erickson postures up.
And that's the end of the fight! Lance Erickson showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Erickson, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
