Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jason Steiner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anthony Ellison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Anthony Ellison told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jason Steiner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
9 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Anthony Ellison!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Skip Squint and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ellison scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Steiner has his takedown stuffed
and Ellison counters with a good low kick that Steiner was not able to check.
Ellison throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Steiner's waist but Steiner gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ellison off to one side.

and Ellison counters with a one-two to the body.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Ellison lands a left and a right that send Steiner crashing to the mat, dazed. Ellison thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Steiner is rocked!
It looks like Jason Steiner has been cut.
Jason Steiner seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Steiner is breathing heavily.
Ellison moves into the clinch.
Ellison's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Steiner tries for a takedown but Ellison circles away easily
and Ellison counters with a nice low kick that buckles Steiner's knee momentarily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jason Steiner. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Ellison feints with a left and delivers a massive head kick! Steiner collapses like a ragdoll! Game over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Anthony Ellison!
