Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Randy Gonzales (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Urijah Faber (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Randy Gonzales! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Urijah Faber! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Chris Downing and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gonzales misses with a takedown and Faber connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Faber scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Gonzales has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Faber is working away from the top position though. Faber really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gonzales. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Gonzales is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Faber scores with a couple of nice shots. Gonzales manages to get to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Faber trying to control the position from guard on top but Gonzales is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Gonzales is on top in guard.
Gonzales won't allow Faber to get back to his feet. Faber tries to land a sweep but no joy.
That's one minute gone in the round. Faber controls Gonzales momentarily but Gonzales frees himself. Faber being controlled here, momentarily. Gonzales wants to pass the guard but Faber is keeping the position. Faber wants to stand and escape but Gonzales is having none of it. Gonzales works a leg free and moves into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Gonzales sitting and controlling from the half guard. Gonzales looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Gonzales works his way into full mount! Gonzales has hold of Faber's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Faber manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Faber is working to get back to half guard.
Gonzales manages to capitalize on a mistake by Faber to take his back! Gonzales is persistently looking for the submission but Faber is defending it well.
Faber tries to escape the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gonzales is looking for the choke from the back position but Faber is controlling his hands well. Gonzales is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Faber with him. Faber is trying to defend but Gonzales has an arm under the chin now! Faber grimaces and is forced to tap out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Randy Gonzales! Randy Gonzales is the new featherweight champion!
