Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aron Rogers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Danny Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Danny Anderson! The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Anderson fails with the takedown and Rogers counters with a single leg into guard. Anderson didn't expect that. Rogers postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Rogers is looking to work some ground and pound but Anderson has wrist control. Rogers sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Anderson's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rogers missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Anderson wants to improve his position but Rogers is controlling well.
Rogers wants to pass the guard but Anderson is defending well. Rogers is trying to work for a kimura but Anderson is defending well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rogers not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Rogers is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Anderson reverses the position - he's now on top in Rogers's guard. Anderson is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Rogers is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Rogers has escaped and now he's on top! Rogers missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Rogers is working Anderson over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Rogers in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Anderson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Rogers gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Rogers throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Rogers passes easily into side control. Nice work. Anderson is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Rogers's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Anderson looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rogers wants to free his trapped foot but Anderson is holding on for dear life with his legs. Rogers not landing any meaningful shots this time. Rogers throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Anderson gets full guard. Anderson is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Anderson bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Rogers's guard. Anderson postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Rogers is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Anderson, into his guard. Rogers throws a strike but Anderson rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Anderson would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Anderson drops back, looking for a kneebar! Rogers looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Rogers looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Rogers! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Aron Rogers dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Anderson tries for a takedown but Rogers circles away easily and Rogers counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Rogers is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Anderson is defending well for now. Rogers tries a knee to the head but Anderson blocks it.

Rogers works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Anderson preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Rogers knows he needs to get back to his feet asap.
