Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Alonzo Griffin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kristof Stein (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Griffin kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is New York. Stein has chosen The Choice is Yours as his entrance music. Kristof Stein has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kristof Stein! The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Albert Achterberg and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Griffin lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Nice uppercut lands for Griffin. That snapped Stein's head back.
Griffin lands a head shot. Stein closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Stein lands in his opponent's guard. Griffin wants to sweep but no luck. That was a close round but I would say that Alonzo Griffin will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Stein tries for a takedown but Griffin circles away easily and Griffin counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Stein thinking. Stein shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Griffin counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Stein drives through with a takedown into guard. Griffin looking to control.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Stein accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Stein throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Griffin works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Griffin lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Stein! Stein is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Kristof Stein showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! And we move into the final round!

Griffin utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Griffin wants to sweep but no luck. Griffin is trying to keep Stein in close.

No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Griffin wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Stein manages to pass to side control. Nice strikes from Stein there. Stein is nestled in close to Griffin, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Stein drops an elbow to the side of Griffin's head. Stein winds up and cracks Griffin with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Griffin is trying to stand back up but Stein is controlling him

That's two minutes gone in the round. Griffin has a hand on Stein's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Stein takes advantage of the position though and mounts him! Stein postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Griffin looks a forlorn figure.
