Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bitis Gabonica!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Donatello Bradman and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gabonica has his takedown stuffed
and Hart counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Gabonica fails with the takedown
and Hart counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Gabonica moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Hart rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Gabonica moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Hart jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Gabonica drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Hart misses with a few strikes there.
Hart gets caught napping as Gabonica dives in and scores a takedown. Hart manages to retain guard.

Hart throws a nice looking combination but Gabonica bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

and Hart counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Hart is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

and Hart counters with a three punch combo that has Gabonica backing up. Gabonica nods at Hart to acknowledge the strikes.

Gabonica decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Hart is trying to maintain the position but Gabonica is very close to passing his half guard.

Hart on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Hart tries to get out of the position.
Hart moves into full guard.
Gabonica stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hart swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Hart is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Gabonica got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hart has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Gabonica has managed to get both his arms back between Hart's legs - danger averted.
Gabonica working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Hart's head.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Hart swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Gabonica counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Bitis Gabonica has got the better of the ground game so far.
Hart is trying to get back to full guard.
Hart is trying to control but can't.
Hart is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.

Gabonica looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Jeez, Bernie Hart's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Bernie Hart's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
