Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Frank Sierra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bruce Ko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Frank Sierra! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bruce Ko! The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Bruno Hogan and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sierra fails to land with a series of punches.
Ko closes the distance looking to clinch and Sierra decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Ko's guard. Ko keeping moving, preventing Sierra from controlling successfully. Sierra stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ko swivels though and keeps the full guard. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Ko is on top in guard.
Ko stops Sierra from standing up. Ko trying to control the position from guard on top but Sierra is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Ko advances position into side control!
That's one minute gone in the round. Ko is looking to take a break and control but Sierra is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Ko goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Sierra rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Ko's guard! Nice work there by Sierra! Ko working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Sierra doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Sierra manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Ko keeping moving, preventing Sierra from controlling successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Ko trying to control the position here. Ko is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Sierra trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Sierra thows a big elbow that misses. Ko looking to hit a scissor sweep but Sierra is one step ahead there. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Ko is on top in guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sierra looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Ko prevents Sierra from getting back to his feet. Sierra is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Ko wants to pass the guard but Sierra is keeping the position. Ko trying to control but Sierra is working from the bottom. Ko trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Ko trying to move into half guard but instead Sierra has managed to sweep!
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Ko wants to sweep but no luck. Ko utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Ko working a defensive guard here.
Sierra trying to control the position from guard on top but Ko is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Sierra is fighting to break Ko's control of his arms but Ko is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Sierra doesn't succeed with the takedown and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Sierra misses the body punch and Ko counters with a flying knee. Nice. Sierra tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Ko paws at him with a jab and circles away. A head kick misses from Sierra. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Bruce Ko will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Ko shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Sierra napping and manages to drive through into side control! Ko is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Sierra knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Ko controlling the position from side mount. Sierra is looking for a sweep. Sierra manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Ko keeps control of the position for the meantime. Sierra with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sierra seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Sierra wants to take a breather but Ko is having none of it. Sierra tries to pass to full mount but Ko defends it. Ko is looking to control Sierra's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Ko avoid being mounted? The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Ko is looking for a sweep. Sierra is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Sierra is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Ko sees it coming and defends easily. Sierra is looking to stall here but Ko recovers full guard. Ko trying to keep a closed guard but Sierra is proving a slippery customer.
Ko is striking but Sierra is not phased and passes to half guard. Ko wants to get back to full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sierra stalling. Sierra thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Ko controlling the position well. Ko moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Sierra wants to control from the top but Ko keeps moving. Ko has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Sierra should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Ko has tightened it up now! Sierra should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:01 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Bruce Ko!
