Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Wrestling Boxer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jhay Vera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Jhay Vera was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Wrestling Boxer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jhay Vera! The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Hirohito Nitta and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Boxer swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Vera counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Vera. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Vera wants to get up but he can't break Boxer's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Vera gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Boxer throws a sloppy head kick and Vera counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Boxer is trying to stand back up but Vera is controlling him
Boxer tries to kick Vera off in order to stand up. Vera Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control. Vera decides to stand up, so the ref orders Boxer to his feet. This has been an exciting period of action! Vera shoots in looking for a takedown but Boxer manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Vera's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Boxer throws a combination that misses and Vera counters with a nice double leg into side control. Boxer won't be happy with that. Vera decides to stand back up. Vera steps back and let's Boxer get back to his feet. Boxer throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Vera counters with a takedown into side control. Boxer is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Vera decides to take the fight back to the feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Vera gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Boxer connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Vera shoots and misses and Boxer connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Wrestling Boxer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jhay Vera. Vera looks gassed! Boxer throws a combination that misses and Vera counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Vera stops Boxer from standing up. Boxer on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Boxer tries to get out of the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Jhay Vera hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Vera moves out of range as Boxer strikes. Boxer throws a front kick aimed at Vera's knee but Vera avoids it well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Boxer throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Boxer throws a big shot that misses. Boxer really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Boxer fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Vera checks the leg kick. Boxer misses with a leg kick and Vera counters with a takedown into side control. Boxer wants to get back to his feet but Vera drags him back down. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jhay Vera dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Boxer lands a nice shot that snaps Vera's head back.

Boxer throws a sloppy head kick and Vera counters with a takedown into side control. Boxer is trying to buck Vera off. Vera is breathing heavily.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Boxer trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful. Jhay Vera has got the better of the ground game so far. Vera tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Boxer is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Vera has just dragged him back down to the mat.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Boxer sneaks out the side door and pushes Vera away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Boxer throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Jhay Vera will probably get the nod - 10:9. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Vera moves out of range of the strikes. Boxer misses with a combination
and Vera counters with a shoot takedown. Boxer fights it but they end up in guard. Boxer is wriggling around but Vera manages to pass to half guard.
Boxer looks like he's trying to stand up.
Vera takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. Boxer tries to kick Vera off in order to stand up. Vera Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control. Boxer wants to get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Vera tries to stand but Boxer is controlling his head. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Boxer is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
And that's the end of the fight! Jhay Vera comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Vera winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
