Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Cody Huber (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dasani Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dasani Silva will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Cody Huber! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Dasani Silva! The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Daniel Cesar and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Huber has a takedown stuffed. Cody Huber seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Silva falls off balance throwing a combination
and Huber counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Huber works his way into full mount! Huber working Silva over with strikes here. Huber sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Silva tries to hold on but Huber postures up. Huber is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Silva can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Huber stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Huber looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Dasani Silva is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Huber is trying hard to land a takedown here. Silva sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Cody Huber. That's going to take a lot out of him. Silva throws a nice looking combination but Huber bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Silva swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Huber decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Silva's guard. Silva looks gassed! Huber is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Huber has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Cody Huber just wasn't active enough. Huber shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Silva as he jumps to the side. Huber fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Silva avoids it really well and circles away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Huber shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Silva but Silva pushes him off and we're back to square one. Huber closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Silva to the mat! Silva manages to get full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Huber slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Huber drops back looking for a leg! Silva is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Silva manages to kick Huber off! Huber jumps back into Silva's guard. Silva really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Huber. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Huber trying to control the position from guard on top but Silva is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Huber passes Silva's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Silva looks like he's trying to stand up.
Huber is taking a breather. Silva says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Huber stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Silva to get to his feet. Huber shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Silva as he jumps to the side. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Silva displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Huber. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Cody Huber dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Huber fails to land the takedown. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Silva stuffs the takedown attempt from Huber. Huber gets slowly back to his feet. Silva throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Huber counters with a nice double leg into guard. Huber throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Huber pushes down on Silva's leg and manages to get into half guard. Silva is breathing heavily. Huber passes the guard and advances to mount!
That's one minute gone in the round. Huber is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet! Silva throws a left and a right that both miss
so Huber counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Huber passes Silva's left leg - he's now in half guard. Huber lands strikes from half guard. Silva taking some punishment here, with Huber in his half guard. Huber passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Silva! Huber lands with some strikes. Huber with a couple of short strikes. Cody Huber overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Huber controlling the pace for now. This has been an exciting period of action! Huber postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Silva looks a forlorn figure.
Huber lands a big elbow. Huber working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Huber controlling from the full mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Silva taking shots to the head. Huber is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet! Huber misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Cody Huber. That's going to take a lot out of him. Silva swings and misses with a hook to the body.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Silva gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Huber to score an easy takedown into full guard. Huber scoring with punches to the head and body. Silva being controlled here, momentarily. Silva can't keep his opponent in guard - Huber advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Cody Huber dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Huber shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Silva's guard. Huber missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Huber slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Huber has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Silva is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Huber yanks on the arm and Silva is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Huber.
