Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Carlson Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vince Leonard Heidrich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Carlson Gracie! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Vince Leonard Heidrich! The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Daniel Cesar and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Heidrich shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Gracie keeping full guard, as Heidrich tries to pass. Heidrich forces his way into half guard. Gracie is looking to escape. Heidrich is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

That's one minute gone in the round. Heidrich wants to lay and pray for a moment but Gracie keeps working. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Heidrich tries to pass to full mount but Gracie defends it. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Heidrich is keen to just control but Gracie is a slippery customer.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Still in half guard, Heidrich seems content to control.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Vince Leonard Heidrich. Heidrich shoots in and gets a takedown into Gracie's guard. Heidrich trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Heidrich must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Heidrich wants to control from the top but Gracie keeps moving. Heidrich wants to pass the guard but Gracie is keeping the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gracie is looking to stand back up but Heidrich counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Gracie. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Heidrich sitting and controlling from the half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Let's hope that Heidrich has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Gracie pushes Heidrich off looking to stand but Heidrich dives back in and keeps control.
Heidrich is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Heidrich is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Heidrich is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Heidrich is working for a kimura but Gracie is defending it quite comfortably.

Heidrich is looking to take a break and control but Gracie is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Gracie looks like he's trying to stand up.

Heidrich is trying to control the action in half guard but Gracie is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Heidrich not doing much here.
Heidrich looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Heidrich is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Gracie defends it well. Gracie is looking to escape.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Heidrich is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Gracie is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
