Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Eiji Kawashima (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aze Toro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Toro has chosen Hate me or Get DIE tryn' - 50cent as his entrance music. Aze Toro is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Eiji Kawashima! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Aze Toro! The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Daniel Cesar and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Toro throws a combination that misses and Toro takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Kawashima moves away from the strike by Toro. A big right from Toro misses. Toro misses with a right hand and Kawashima counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Kawashima walks into a straight right hand from Toro. Toro swings and misses with a shot to the body and Kawashima counters with a stiff right hand. Toro lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Toro takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Toro misses with a body shot
enabling Kawashima to counter with a crisp jab. Toro staying out of range there. Toro throws a lazy right hand but Kawashima sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Toro will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

and Kawashima counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Toro thinking. Toro throws a right hand that misses
and Kawashima counters with a nice body shot. Toro takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Toro throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Toro takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Kawashima keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Toro misses with a right hand and Kawashima connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Toro swings and misses with a shot to the body and Kawashima counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Toro misses with a hook. Toro ducks under a wild hook from Kawashima. Kawashima loads up on a big right hand but Toro slips the punch. Toro looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Kawashima lands with an uppercut that bounces Toro off the cage and back into rage. Toro throws a lazy uppercut

and Kawashima counters with a nice uppercut. Kawashima misses with a looping left. Toro takes a swing at Kawashima's ribcage but misses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Toro lands a nice hook to Kawashima's body. Kawashima takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Toro throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

and Kawashima counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Toro connects with a body shot. Toro misses with a double jab

Toro is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Kawashima misses with a hook. Toro ducked under it nicely. Kawashima lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Toro lands a lovely overhand right. Kawashima stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kawashima wants it to stay on the feet. Toro lands with a nice body punch. Kawashima lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Toro misses with a jab to the body
and Kawashima counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Toro lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Good standup being displayed there by Kawashima as he connects with a hook. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kawashima takes a swing at Toro's ribcage but misses. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Toro keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Kawashima. Toro throws a left and a right that both miss
and Kawashima counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Toro uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Kawashima. Toro looks to land a combination. Kawashima sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kawashima has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Kawashima there as he acknowledges the shot. Nice shot lands for Kawashima. Toro throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Kawashima walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Kawashima pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Toro back to the cage. Kawashima follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Toro throws a left and a right that both miss
and Kawashima cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Kawashima ducks right into an uppercut from Toro. Toro misses with a jab to the body
and Kawashima counters with a right hand to the body. Kawashima throws a hook but Toro blocks it. A jab from Kawashima misses. A telegraphed right hand from Kawashima misses the target.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Toro swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Kawashima counters with a nice uppercut. Kawashima walks into a jab. Aze Toro is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Toro moves forwards but Kawashima connects with a nice, crisp jab. Toro looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Toro scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Toro catches Kawashima with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Toro throws a predictable looking body shot

and Kawashima counters with a nice uppercut. Toro rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kawashima moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

and Kawashima counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Nice sprawl there from Kawashima as Toro shoots in. Toro shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Kawashima counters with a left to the body. Toro is breathing heavily. Toro misses with a double jab
and Kawashima counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Toro on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Kawashima swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

A punch lands to the side of Toro 's head but he takes it in his stride. Kawashima throws a right and a left that Toro avoids nicely. Toro throws a predictable looking body shot
and Kawashima counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Toro shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Kawashima is trying to defend but Toro finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Kawashima is defending against the submission attempts here by Toro.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Kawashima looks like he's trying to stand up.

That's one minute gone in the round. Kawashima closes the distance and lands a one-two. Toro fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Eiji Kawashima has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Aze Toro. Toro swings and misses with a shot to the body and Kawashima counters with a straight right hand. A swing and a miss from Toro. Toro is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Kawashima's half guard. Toro takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Toro is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Kawashima has managed to free his arm - good work. Toro is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Toro prevents Kawashima from standing back up.
Toro stalling away here and it's allowed Kawashima to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kawashima wants to get back to his feet but Toro is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Toro drops back, looking for a kneebar! Kawashima looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Kawashima looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Kawashima! Kawashima tries to advance to mount but can't.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kawashima wants to stand but Toro is controlling his arm. Toro struggling a bit here. Toro is trying to work for a sweep but Kawashima has mounted him! Toro is desperately trying to improve his position but Kawashima has a good base and remains in mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Toro sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Kawashima stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. Aze Toro has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Eiji Kawashima is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Toro swings for the body but Kawashima moves out of range.
Kawashima scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Kawashima scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Toro swings away with a body shot that misses
and Kawashima connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Kawashima lands with a nice combination. Toro backs away looking to recover.
And that's the end of the fight! Eiji Kawashima showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Kawashima, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
