Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between David Morgan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andy Stone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stone has chosen I stand alone - Godsmack as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, David Morgan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Andy Stone!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Yukihiro Shimada and Taro Takaoka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A kick lands to the mid section there for Morgan.
Stone misses with a leg kick.
Morgan throws a leg kick but Stone moved away.

Morgan closes the distance and clinches.

Stone breaks the clinch.

Morgan gets a clinch.
Stone keeps control of Morgan as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Stone prevents a body shot from Morgan.

Stone's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Morgan lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.


It looks like Andy Stone has been cut.
Morgan throws a low kick but it's checked well by Stone.
A head kick by Morgan misses
and Stone counters with a straight right hand.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Stone misses with an uppercut.
Stone throws a big shot that misses.
Morgan lands a high kick!
Stone is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Morgan.
Stone lands a nice looking body shot.
Stone lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Morgan throws a left and a right that both miss
and Stone makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.

Morgan tries to clinch up
and Stone counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Morgan is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Morgan shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
David Morgan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Stone lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Morgan wants to clinch

and Stone counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Morgan has hold of Stone's hands but Stone slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Stone is controlling the pace.
Morgan wants to improve his position but Stone is controlling well.
Stone perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Morgan actively working from the bottom here.
Morgan is trying to get back to full guard.
Stone thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Morgan's head.
Still in half guard, Stone seems content to control.
Stone prevents Morgan from improving his position.
Stone seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Andy Stone wasn't active enough on the ground.
Stone throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.

Stone throws a leg kick but Morgan sees it coming and checks it nicely.

and Morgan counters with a nice low kick that buckles Stone's knee momentarily.
Morgan looks to clinch
enabling Stone to counter with a crisp jab.

Morgan forces Stone back against the cage and clinches.
Morgan wants to break the clinch but can't.
Morgan is trying to break the clinch but Stone has him pressed against the cage.
Morgan can't find room to land a body shot as Stone controls the action.

Stone pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Morgan tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Stone decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Morgan's guard.
Stone has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Morgan looking for a sweep. Not yet Morgan, not yet.
Stone is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Morgan manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Stone manages to get himself to full guard.

Morgan drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Stone manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Morgan has Stone in his guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Stone is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
It looks like Stone might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Morgan tries to strike from the bottom.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Morgan is trying to control the position but Stone postures up.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Morgan is on top in guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Stone throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Morgan tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Stone is in Morgan's guard.

Morgan working for a triangle but Stone defends it easily.
Stone is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Stone lands a couple of digs.
Stone is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Stone controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Stone throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

Stone throws an overhand right that lands on Morgan's shoulder, as Morgan tries to avoid the shot.

and Stone counters with a single leg into guard. Morgan didn't expect that.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Stone.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Morgan chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Stone can pounce on him.

Stone throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Morgan.

and Stone counters with a straight right hand.
Stone throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Stone takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Stone throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Morgan darts in trying to clinch
and Stone connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Stone lands a leg kick that knocks Morgan off balance momentarily.
Stone swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Stone throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Morgan.

and Stone counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Morgan's guard now.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.
