Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brandon Vera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Liberius Beowulf (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Liberius Beowulf!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Shirou Masuda and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vera will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Brandon Vera seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Beowulf connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Vera's hands.
It looks like Brandon Vera has been cut.
Beowulf tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Vera throws a sloppy head kick
and Beowulf counters with a nice body kick.
Vera is breathing heavily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Vera gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Beowulf finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
A shot to the liver by Beowulf. Beautiful body shot.
Beowulf pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Beowulf stuns Vera with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
An inside leg kick lands from Beowulf.
Vera moves forwards but Beowulf connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Beowulf scores with a head kick.
Beowulf and Vera are patiently standing in front of each other looking for an opening. Beowulf throws a head kick. It's landed, knocking Vera into next week! Ooooh that was huge! Beowulf knows it - he's on the cage flexing is biceps. That's a bit weird considering he won by kick but whatever.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Liberius Beowulf!
