Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Shirou Masuda and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Star tries to land a body kick
and Lianza counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Star is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Lianza must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Star wants to sweep here but Lianza controlling him for the moment.
Lianza is looking to stand up but Star won't let him.
Star is pulling down on Lianza's head to control his posture.
Star looking to hit a scissor sweep but Lianza is one step ahead there.
Lianza wants to get up but he can't break Star's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Lianza tries to buck Star off but he can't manage it.

Star has control of Lianza's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Lianza regains control of the situation pretty easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Star jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Lianza manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Lianza really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Star. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Lianza pushes Star away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Star gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Star is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Lianza is trying to escape and Star transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Lianza is forced to tap! Nice work there by Star! Very nice indeed!
