Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jason Zombie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Xavier Mean (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Mean's choice of entrance music: Pantera - Fu*king Hostile. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mean shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Zombie's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mean avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Mean accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Mean won't allow Zombie to sweep him here.
Mean decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Zombie throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Mean decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Mean displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Zombie throws out the jab.

Mean lands a head kick. Zombie smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!

Mean uses his free foot to push down on Zombie's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Zombie.

Zombie takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Mean's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
