Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Buzz Cloltran! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Man Ray! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ray fails with the takedown and Cloltran counters with a two punch combo. Ray shoots and misses and Cloltran counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Ray tries to roll over but Cloltran keeps him under control. Ray regains full guard. Nicely done. Ray looking for a sweep. Not yet Ray, not yet. Cloltran stays in close to Ray's body and controls the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ray is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Cloltran defends well. Ray is looking for a triangle but Cloltran pushes his legs off easily.
Cloltran keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Ray's head. Ray had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Cloltran defends it easily. Ray looks gassed!
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Ray is looking for a triangle here but Cloltran uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Ray takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Ray should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Cloltran working the head with strikes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cloltran scoring with punches from side control. Ray is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Cloltran grinds an elbow into Ray's temple. Cloltran is working Ray over with some ground and pound from side control. Ray takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cloltran landing strikes. Ray being controlled for a moment. Cloltran scores with punches from side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Buzz Cloltran dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Oooooh!!! Cloltran has knocked Ray down with a huge combo! Cloltran steps away and waves a wobbly Ray back to his feet! This one might not go much longer! Cloltran fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Ray. Cloltran decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Ray is trying to maintain the position but Cloltran is very close to passing his half guard. Cloltran winds up and cracks Ray with a swinging punch to the side of the head. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Cloltran lands with a punch from half guard. Ray is breathing heavily. This has been an exciting period of action! Cloltran lands strikes from half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cloltran stops Ray from getting back to his feet.
Ray on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Cloltran is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Cloltran drops an elbow to the side of Ray's head. Cloltran landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cloltran drops an elbow to the side of Ray's head. Cloltran is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Ray can do to turn this around? Cloltran winds up and cracks Ray with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Cloltran landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Cloltran working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Ray has a hand on Cloltran's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Cloltran takes advantage of the position though and mounts him! Cloltran with good strikes from the mount here!
Ray is rocked!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Oooh a big shot lands for Cloltran! Ray is out! The ref dives in to save him from more punishment!
