Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Maritn Boudreaux (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Viktor Sol (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Boudreaux comes to the cage accompanied by The Prince. Maritn Boudreaux has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Maritn Boudreaux!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Viktor Sol!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Franklyn Lucas and Jonathan Paton.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sol connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

Sol shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Sol wants to control the pace but Boudreaux is squirming around nicely.
Boudreaux trying desperately to get to his feet.
Poor strikes thrown by Sol there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Sol is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Boudreaux has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Sol misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Boudreaux is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.

Sol looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Boudreaux with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Sol wants to lay and pray for a moment but Boudreaux keeps working.
Sol might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Boudreaux kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Boudreaux tries to kick Sol off but Sol keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Sol tries for a takedown but Boudreaux circles away easily
and Boudreaux cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
The fight stays on the outside here - Boudreaux looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

so Sol counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Solis looking to pass into half guard but Boudreaux pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Boudreaux is in guard.

Sol lands some strikes from the bottom.
Boudreaux is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Sol is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Sol escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Boudreaux gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Sol won't allow Boudreaux to get back to his feet.
Sol with a flurry of punches that miss.
Sol in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Sol wants to pass the guard but Boudreaux is keeping the position.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Sol drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Boudreaux manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Sol has Boudreaux in his guard.
Sol is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Sol working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Boudreaux doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Boudreaux manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

A close second round but Viktor Sol will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


The fighters circle momentarily. Sol darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Maritn Boudreaux seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Boudreaux fails with an attempt to clinch.
Boudreaux throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Sol's head.
Sol shoots in looking for a takedown. Boudreaux tries to sprawl out of it but Sol keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Boudreaux manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Sol shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Boudreaux sprawls well. Boudreaux wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Sol gets slowly back to his feet.
Maritn Boudreaux has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Viktor Sol.

and Sol counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Sol is pressing down on Boudreaux's thigh, looking to free his foot. Boudreaux is holding on for now.
Boudreaux is trying to stand up here but Sol is controlling him well.

Sol thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Boudreaux's head.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

I've got Sol winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
