Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Valeri Chadov and Viktor Lagutenko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wilbon looks to land a combination but Monnelli avoids it well.
Monnelli swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Monnelli uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Wilbon.
Craig Wilbon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Monnelli dives in and grabs Wilbon's left leg, looking for a takedown. Wilbon pushes down on Monnelli's head and hops out.
Monnelli defending well as Wilbon loads up on a big left hand.
Wilbon tries to keep at a distance but Monnelli has taken the fight into the clinch.
Monnelli escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Monnelli misses with a takedown
letting Wilbon counter with a right hand.
Wilbon scores with a hook.
Wilbon misses the shot to the body.
Wilbon throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Monnelli shoots and misses
and Wilbon counters with a two punch combo.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Neal Monnelli. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Wilbon cracks Monnelli with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Monnelli tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Wilbon pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Monnelli is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Craig Wilbon!
