Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Leonard Ortiz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Devils Obstacle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Leonard Ortiz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Devils Obstacle! The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Dmitry Maklakov and Viktor Lagutenko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ortiz tries for a takedown but Obstacle circles away easily and Obstacle counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Left hook, right uppercut from Ortiz. Ortiz looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Ortiz with a flurry of punches that miss. Obstacle has Ortiz pulled in close to control his posture. Ortiz wants to control from the top but Obstacle keeps moving. Obstacle utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Obstacle can do anything to dispel that myth.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ortiz with a flurry of punches that miss. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Ortiz in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Ortiz throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Obstacle works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Obstacle really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ortiz. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Ortiz prevents Obstacle from getting back to his feet. Ortiz stands and throws Obstacle's legs to the side, diving into side control. Ortiz tries to score with some ground and pound. Obstacle controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Obstacle is looking to reverse the position. Obstacle takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Ortiz throws an elbow but Obstacle slips to the side and avoids it well. Obstacle can't do much from the bottom here. Ortiz prevents Obstacle from escaping the position. Obstacle is not content to let Ortiz control the position. Ortiz has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Obstacle is looking to regain half guard here but Ortiz keeps moving and retains side control. Ortiz wants to control but Obstacle is keeping him busy. Obstacle is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Ortiz has just dragged him back down to the mat. Obstacle managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Ortiz.
Obstacle is trying to buck Ortiz off. Obstacle can't do much from the bottom here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Obstacle parries the strikes from Ortiz easily there. Ortiz is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Obstacle to escape.
Ortiz thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Obstacle struggling a bit here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Obstacle is looking to reverse the position. Obstacle controls the position for a moment. Obstacle sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Obstacle looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Obstacle is trying to get back to full guard. Ortiz throwing shots but Obstacle is blocking nicely. Obstacle is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Ortiz lands with a punch from half guard. Obstacle manages to get to full guard.
Obstacle has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Ortiz can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Ortiz wants to pass the guard but Obstacle is keeping the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Leonard Ortiz dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
A punch combination from Obstacle misses. Ortiz with a lazy takedown attempt and Obstacle counters with a takedown into side control. Obstacle content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Ortiz regains half guard. Obstacle wants to work for an arm triangle but Ortiz is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

That's one minute gone in the round. Obstacle missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Obstacle is working for a kimura but Ortiz is defending it quite comfortably.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Ortiz is looking for a sweep. Obstacle is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Obstacle controlling the pace. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Devils Obstacle has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Ortiz with a poor takedown and Obstacle counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Obstacle wants to pass the guard but Ortiz is defending well. Ortiz is trying to control but can't.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Obstacle throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Obstacle performing his best blanket impression for a moment. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Obstacle tries to stand but his arm is trapped. Ortiz flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Obstacle bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Ortiz's head.
It looks like Leonard Ortiz has been cut. Obstacle throws a series of strikes that have Ortiz backpedaling.
Obstacle shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Ortiz manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Obstacle sitting in guard, not really doing much. Obstacle must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Obstacle postures up in Ortiz's guard and throws a big left but Ortiz blocks it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Devils Obstacle showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Leonard Ortiz's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Devils Obstacle. Obstacle throws a head kick that misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ortiz has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Obstacle wants to slow Ortiz down by chopping away at his legs. The fight stays on the outside here - Obstacle looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Ortiz gets caught flat footed, as Obstacle shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Obstacle is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Obstacle stopping the sweep attempt from Ortiz.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Devils Obstacle hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Obstacle is looking to clinch. Ortiz gets caught flat footed, as Obstacle shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Obstacle looking to pass the guard. Obstacle controlling from the top position.

And that's the end of the fight! Devils Obstacle comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Obstacle has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
