Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Pablo Brookins! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Iceman Liddell! The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Nard Betker and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Liddell swats away the attempt to clinch by Brookins. Brookins will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Brookins tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Liddell paws at him with a jab and circles away. Liddell throws a left and a right that both miss
and Brookins counters with a takedown into side control. Brookins prevents Liddell from escaping the position. Brookins is trying to get an arm triangle but Liddell is defending well. Liddell wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Brookins wants to control for a moment but Liddell uses the opportunity to move back to half guard. Brookins trying to control from Liddell's half guard. Liddell has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Brookins trying to control the position from guard on top but Liddell is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brookins with a flurry of punches that miss. Brookins wants to stand but Liddell has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Liddell uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Brookins slips a straight right by Liddell. Brookins wants to clinch and Liddell counters with a crisp one two that drops Brookins! Liddell thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Brookins to his feet! Brookins is in big trouble!
Brookins is rocked!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Liddell fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Oh Brookins is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Brookins is breathing heavily. This has been an exciting period of action! Brookins tries to get into range but Liddell steps to the side and lands a beautiful hook that drops Brookins! He's faceplanted into the mat, ass in the air... he's out cold! That's an image he won't want to show his grandkids when he gets older! Liddell scores the big KO victory!
