Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Brandi Montague (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Uhan Foikz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brandi Montague has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Brandi Montague!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Uhan Foikz!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Leandro Rodrigues and Felipe Paraventi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Montague circles away from the clinch attempt
and Montague counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Foikz throws a lazy head kick
and Montague counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Montague really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Montague misses with a combination

and Foikz counters with a single leg into guard. Montague didn't expect that.
Foikz trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Montague seems keen to control Foikz's posture.
Foikz is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Foikz tries to free his leg and advance position but Montague is retaining full guard.

Foikz's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Uhan Foikz has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Foikz changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Montague looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Foikz lands a few punches from side control.
An elbow from Foikz crashes against the mat.
Montague is trying to improve his position.
Foikz is looking to take a break and control but Montague is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Foikz stands up.

Foikz takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

Foikz closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Foikz trying to control the action but Montague is working from the bottom.
Montague knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Foikz on the ground.
Montague can't do much from the bottom here.

Foikz decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Foikz darts in trying to clinch

and Montague counters with a shoot takedown. Foikz fights it but they end up in guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Foikz looking to hit a scissor sweep but Montague is one step ahead there.

Montague is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Foikz is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Foikz has escaped and now he's on top!

Montague can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Foikz controls the pace.
Montague keeping moving, preventing Foikz from controlling successfully.
Foikz slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Foikz wants to control from the top but Montague keeps moving.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Uhan Foikz dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Foikz throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Montague was covering up waiting for the punch and Foikz finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Foikz stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Montague swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Foikz preventing the sweep.

Foikz passes into half guard.
Foikz is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Montague wants to control but Foikz is keeping busy.
Foikz slows the pace down in half guard.
Montague won't allow Foikz to pass to mount.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Foikz content to control rather than advance.
Foikz seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Montague makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Montague.
Montague is trying to control the position but Foikz postures up.
Uhan Foikz has got the better of the ground game so far.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Foikz wants to control from the top but Montague keeps moving.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Foikz bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Foikz trying to control the action but Montague is working from the bottom.
Foikz advances nicely into full mount.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Montague is squirming around, avoiding Foikz's attempts to control the action.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Foikz cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Foikz trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Foikz pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Uhan Foikz showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!

Montague can't keep his opponent in guard - Foikz advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Montague is looking for a sweep. Foikz is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Foikz trying to control the pace.
Montague is trying to get back to full guard.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Foikz is trying to control. Montague wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Foikz scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Montague can't do much from the bottom here.
Foikz in side control, just content to control the action for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Foikz wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Montague, who protects the arm well.
Foikz landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Montague is not content to let Foikz control the position.
Foikz just content to control the position.
Brandi Montague has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Uhan Foikz comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Foikz winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
