Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eros Wes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Masters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chris Masters told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Eros Wes! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Chris Masters! The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wes wants to clinch. Masters fails with the takedown and Wes counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Wes. Wes's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Wes misses with a looping left. Wes closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Masters is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Wes off and has taken his back! Masters is throwing shots to the body but Wes manages to wriggle free. Masters pounces on him again and ends up in Wes's guard. Masters controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Wes trying to keep a closed guard but Masters is proving a slippery customer.
Wes is controlling Masters's posture.
That's one minute gone in the round. Masters throwing strikes from guard but Wes blocks nicely. Masters is fighting to break Wes's control of his arms but Wes is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Masters sitting in guard, not really doing much.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Wes tries a head kick but it misses.
Masters shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Wes counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Wes. Wes decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Wes has closed the distance and engaged Masters in a clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wes has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Masters is trying to keep an underhook but Wes manages to get the takedown into half guard. Masters trying to control here.
Masters is looking to improve his position.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Masters not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Masters wants to sweep but no luck. Masters trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Masters is trying to keep Wes in close.
Masters looking for subs off his back but Wes has passed one foot through into half guard.
Masters is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Wes's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Wes's back!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wes manages to reverse the position and now he's in Masters's guard. Nice work there by Wes.
Masters looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Masters will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Masters looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Wes passes into half guard.
Masters is looking to control Wes's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Masters avoid being mounted? Wes thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Masters has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Wes is working away from the top position though. Masters gets back to full guard.
Masters looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Wes puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Masters wants to improve his position but Wes is controlling well.
Wes not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Masters trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!
Masters is working to get back to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Eros Wes dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Masters shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Wes counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Masters can't break the clinch.

Wes manages to break the clinch.
Wes moves into range and clinches up with Masters. Masters tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Wes just stands there and leans against the cage. Eros Wes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chris Masters. Masters is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Wes gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Masters has Wes pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Wes manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Masters tries to score a body lock takedown but Wes shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Masters can't get the takedown.
Wes gets control of Masters's arms and successfully pulls guard. Wes will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Masters wants to control from the top but Wes keeps moving. Wes is looking for a triangle but Masters pushes his legs off easily.
Wes has his hands on Masters's head, controlling the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wes working a defensive guard here.
Masters trying to control the position from guard on top but Wes is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Eros Wes. Wes shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Masters pinned against the cage. Masters gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Masters throws a hook but Wes avoids it easily. Wes misses with a two punch combination.
Masters walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Wes checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Masters throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Wes tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Masters with a lazy takedown attempt and Wes decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Masters's guard. Masters throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Masters throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Wes has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Wes postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Masters looking to control.
Masters trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Masters has his foot on Wes's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Wes works his way back into a safe position though. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Masters looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Wes passes into half guard.
Eros Wes overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Masters wants to control but Wes is keeping busy.
Wes is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

Wes wants to free his trapped foot but Masters is holding on for dear life with his legs. Wes takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Masters trying to hold on to Wes's head to control him but Wes postures up.

Masters trying to control the action but Wes is working from the bottom. Masters not doing much here.
Masters moves into full mount! Wes won't be happy about that! Masters content just to control the position here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Eros Wes dominated that second round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Masters avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Masters fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Wes manages to avoid it. Masters throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Wes tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Masters is in Wes's guard. Masters slips nicely into half guard. Wes tries to get to full guard but Masters has control of the leg. Masters missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Wes is trying to get back to full guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Masters throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Wes blocking the ground and pound attempt from Masters. Wes wants to get back to full guard but Masters has passed into side control. Sloppy strikes there by Masters. Masters wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Wes, who protects the arm well. Wes wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Wes seems a little lost for a moment, as Masters dominates the positioning. Masters tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Masters thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Wes tries to get back to half guard but can't.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Masters is working to tighten is grip on Wes's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Wes has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Masters is really squeezing tight and eventually Wes passes out! Masters breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
