Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kip Flenderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mason Terell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kip Flenderson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mason Terell! The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, John Kavanagh and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Flenderson looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Terell shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Flenderson as he jumps to the side. Terell keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Terell wants to land a leg kick but Flenderson is out of range. Terell scores with a one two! Flenderson had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Nice sprawl there from Flenderson as Terell shoots in. Terell avoids the head kick by Flenderson.
Flenderson throws a quick inside leg kick. Kip Flenderson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Flenderson throws a chopping leg kick but Terell manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Terell throws a predictable looking body shot
and Flenderson counters with a body kick that stops Terell in his tracks momentarily. Flenderson moves out of range as Terell strikes. Flenderson throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Flenderson keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Flenderson throws a solid leg kick but Terell takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Flenderson. Terell thows a body shot but no joy. Terell closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Flenderson is in a bad spot here and he knows it... just holding on for now. Terell working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
That's one minute gone in the round. Terell in side control lands a decent elbow. Terell tries for a kimura but Flenderson is defending well. Terell controls the position. Terell trying to control the action but Flenderson is working from the bottom. Terell is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Flenderson has escaped the position, nice work there. Terell taking a breather here. Flenderson on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Flenderson tries to get out of the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The ground and pound from Terell seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Terell working away. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Flenderson avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Terell. Flenderson on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Flenderson tries to get back to half guard but can't. Terell takes a little break here. Flenderson wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Flenderson struggling a bit here. Terell advances to mount. Flenderson manages to regain half guard. Good work. Terell working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Terell missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Flenderson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Terell on the ground. Terell looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Terell is trying to control. Flenderson wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Flenderson regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Terell. Terell with a flurry of punches that miss. Flenderson keeping moving, preventing Terell from controlling successfully. Terell stands and throws Flenderson's legs to the side, diving into side control. Flenderson struggling a bit here. Sloppy strikes there by Terell. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mason Terell dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!

Terell closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Flenderson's guard. Terell throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Flenderson works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Terell throws a big right hand that misses. Flenderson tries to land a sweep but no joy. Flenderson is trying to keep Terell in close.
Terell forces his way into half guard. Terell is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Terell prevents Flenderson from improving his position. Terell controlling the action here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Flenderson has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Terell is working away from the top position though. Flenderson regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Terell. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Flenderson keeping moving, preventing Terell from controlling successfully. Terell postures up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Flenderson manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Terell manages to get himself to full guard.
Terell has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Flenderson is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Terell is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Terell has escaped and now he's on top! Flenderson utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Terell pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Flenderson is keeping the position for now. Terell is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Flenderson looking for a sweep. Not yet Flenderson, not yet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Terell trying to control but Flenderson is working from the bottom. Terell postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Terell throwing strikes but missing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Flenderson controlling the position. Flenderson trying to keep a closed guard but Terell is proving a slippery customer.
Terell is looking to work some ground and pound but Flenderson has wrist control. Terell wants to control from the top but Flenderson keeps moving. Terell controlling from the top position.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Flenderson thumps Terell with a low kick. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. A head kick misses from Flenderson. Flenderson pivots, looking for a leg kick but Terell is out of range and Flenderson settles back down. Kip Flenderson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Flenderson misses with a hook
and Terell counters with a straight punch to the midsection. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mason Terell showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Terell shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Terell connects with a right hand. Flenderson shakes it off. Flenderson misses with a right hand and Terell counters with a nice double leg into side control. Flenderson won't be happy with that. Terell lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
It looks like Kip Flenderson has been cut. This has been an exciting period of action! Terell tries to score with some ground and pound. Flenderson controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Terell scores with punches from side control. Terell throws a strike aimed at the side of Flenderson's head but Flenderson avoids it well. Terell controlling from side mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Flenderson is trying to get back to half guard. Terell wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Flenderson, who protects the arm well. Flenderson tries to get back to half guard but can't. Terell lands an elbow. Flenderson is looking to reverse the position.

Flenderson controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Terell lands a decent elbow from side control. Terell staying calm. Kip Flenderson's cut is getting worse. Flenderson is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Terell moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Flenderson is looking to reverse the position. Terell with the ground and pound but Flenderson regains half guard under the barage of strikes. Terell is keen to just control but Flenderson is a slippery customer.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Terell controlling the action here. Let's hope that Terell has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Kip Flenderson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
The ref stands the fighters back up. Mason Terell was stalling too much, according to the referee. Horrible takedown by Terell or perhaps it was just good defense by Flenderson which made him look bad. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Terell avoids the head kick by Flenderson.
Flenderson misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
And that's the end of the fight! Mason Terell comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Terell winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
