Navarro shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Medica counters with a nice uppercut.
It looks like Jhonny Navarro has been cut.
Medica has Navarro up against the cage in a clinch.
Navarro blocks an elbow strike.
Medica just leaning against Navarro, taking a breather.
Medica gets a trip takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Medica takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Navarro has hold of Medica's hands but Medica slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Well, if Medica is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Medica has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Medica's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
