Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Duke Gibbons (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ferdynand Kiepski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ferdynand Kiepski will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Duke Gibbons! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ferdynand Kiepski! The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Summer Carpenter and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A jab-cross combination lands for Kiepski and sends Gibbons crashing to the mat! Kiepski follows him down to the mat - Gibbons regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gibbons is trying to maintain the position but Kiepski is very close to passing his half guard. Gibbons missing with punches from the bottom.
Kiepski seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Gibbons kicks off Kiepski and gets to his feet. Kiepski misses with a double jab
letting Gibbons counter with a right hand. Kiepski throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Gibbons counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Kiepski misses with a double jab
and Gibbons counters with a stiff right hand.
It looks like Ferdynand Kiepski has been cut.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kiepski takes a kick to the side of the head. Kiepski misses with a double jab
and Gibbons counters with a one-two to the body. Kiepski looks gassed! Kiepski throws a combination that misses and Gibbons counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Gibbons. Gibbons breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Kiepski goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Gibbons shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Gibbons punching from mount but Kiepski doing a good job of avoiding damage. Gibbons has hold of Kiepski's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Kiepski manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Kiepski is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Gibbons throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gibbons looking to secure an arm triangle but Kiepski defends it well. Gibbons tries to control but Kiepski wriggling away. Gibbons has control of Kiepski's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Kiepski regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Gibbons has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Gibbons controlling the position easily from mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gibbons working away from the top, dropping strikes. Gibbons thowing shots but they're missing. Kiepski taking shots to the head. Gibbons dominating with strikes here. Gibbons working Kiepski over with strikes here. Gibbons looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
This has been an exciting period of action! Gibbons landing strikes from the mount.
That has opened up Ferdynand Kiepski's cut even more. Gibbons thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gibbons looking to finish Kiepski with some ground and pound. This is bad for Kiepski!
Ferdynand Kiepski's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Ferdynand Kiepski's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Duke Gibbons!
