Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Stu Pidasso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Henry Six (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pidasso kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Lollipop Remix. Stu Pidasso has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Henry Six!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Edson Gomes and Seu Braga.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Six throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Pidasso.
Pidasso cracks Six with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Six misses with a double jab

and Pidasso counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Pidasso.
Six fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Pidasso manages to break the clinch.
Six tries to land a body kick
and Pidasso counters with a one-two to the body.
Pidasso moves out of range of the body kick.
Six throws a predictable looking body shot
and Pidasso counters with an inside leg kick.
Pidasso lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Six swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Pidasso counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Six walks into a jab.
Pidasso feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Six's calf.

Pidasso dodges the punch combination from Six.
Six misses with a left hand
and Pidasso counters with a two punch combo.
Six misses with a lunging right hand
and Pidasso counters with a two punch combo.
Six tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Pidasso gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Pidasso's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Six rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Pidasso counters with a nice low kick that buckles Six's knee momentarily.
Pidasso moves out of range of the body kick.
Pidasso keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Six.
Pidasso lands an overhand right.
Six pivots, looking for a leg kick but Pidasso is out of range and Six settles back down.
The fighters circling - Six throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

and Pidasso counters with a takedown into side control.
Six is looking for a sweep.
Pidasso postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Six is looking to reverse the position.

Pidasso will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Pidasso misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Six defending against the ground and pound.
Six is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pidasso throws a strike aimed at the side of Six's head but Six avoids it well.
Pidasso postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Pidasso is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Six is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Pidasso wants to control but Six is keeping him busy.
Pidasso is really struggling to control Six but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Six prevents Pidasso from moving into mount.
Pidasso has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Pidasso tries for a kimura but Six is defending well.
Pidasso tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Nice takedown defense from Pidasso. No joy for Six on that attempt.
Six takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Six tries for a takedown but Pidasso circles away easily
and Pidasso counters with a left and a right that stings Six.
Six misses with a left hand
and Pidasso counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Six shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Six takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Stu Pidasso has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Henry Six.
Pidasso keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Six drops his hands momentarily and Pidasso takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Six drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Six thows a body shot but no joy.

and Pidasso makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Pidasso avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Six throws a poor cross that misses
and Pidasso counters with a straight right hand.
Stu Pidasso is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Six looks to score with a jab to the body but Pidasso is just out of range.
Pidasso slips a jab from Six.

Pidasso scores with a takedown into Six's guard.
Pidasso wants to control from the top but Six keeps moving.
Six really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Pidasso. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Pidasso with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Pidasso stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Six swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Pidasso postures up in Six's guard and throws a big left but Six blocks it.
Pidasso wants to pass the guard but Six is keeping the position.

Six is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Pidasso wants to pass the guard but Six is keeping the position.
Pidasso working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Pidasso jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Six misses with a right hand
and Pidasso counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Six swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Pidasso misses with a wild combination.
Six looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

and Pidasso counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Six thinking.

and Pidasso counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Six is refusing to be controlled, as Pidasso sits in half guard.
Six tries to roll over but Pidasso keeps him under control.

Pidasso is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Six is just riding it out for now. Pidasso eventually gives up the hold.

Pidasso is trying to control. Six wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Six won't allow Pidasso to pass to mount.

Pidasso seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Six is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
