Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between George Mako (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Miguel Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Miguel Sanchez has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, George Mako! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Miguel Sanchez! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Trevor Gratis and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mako looks to score with a jab to the body but Sanchez is just out of range. Mako fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Sanchez. Sanchez uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Mako. The fight stays on the outside here - Sanchez looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Sanchez dodges the punch combination from Mako.
Mako throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Mako throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
A nice leg kick lands there from Mako. Mako bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Mako tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Sanchez takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Sanchez is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Mako tries to pass to full mount but Sanchez defends it. Mako prevents Sanchez from improving his position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sanchez is looking to control Mako's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Sanchez avoid being mounted? Mako wants to advance to full mount but Sanchez doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead. Sanchez pulls Mako in close to prevent any damage. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mako pushing down on Sanchez's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Sanchez is looking to improve his position.
Mako looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Sanchez is looking to improve his position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Mako working Sanchez over with strikes. Mako thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Sanchez's head. Sanchez regains full guard. Nicely done. Mako stopping the sweep attempt from Sanchez. Mako postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Mako sitting in guard here, content to control. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Mako trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Mako wants to control from the top but Sanchez keeps moving. Mako avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Sanchez looks gassed! Mako trying to control but Sanchez is working from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mako looking to pass the guard. Sanchez doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mako pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Sanchez is keeping the position for now.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Sanchez shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Sanchez fails with the takedown so Mako counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Sanchez looking to hit a scissor sweep but Mako is one step ahead there. Sanchez has his foot on Mako's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Mako works his way back into a safe position though. Sanchez is looking for a triangle here but Mako uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Sanchez tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Mako wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sanchez manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Sanchez looking for submissions off his back. Sanchez is looking for a sweep. Mako is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Mako thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Sanchez's head. Mako content to control rather than advance. Sanchez tries to get to full guard but Mako has control of the leg. Mako tries to pass the half guard into mount. Sanchez knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Sanchez is looking to control Mako's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Sanchez avoid being mounted? Mako is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Mako plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
George Mako dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Horrible takedown by Sanchez or perhaps it was just good defense by Mako which made him look bad. Sanchez rushes Mako and presses him up against the cage. Sanchez prevents the takedown attempt.

Sanchez has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Mako avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. George Mako has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Miguel Sanchez. Sanchez tries for a takedown. No joy.
Mako gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Mako wants to control from the top but Sanchez keeps moving. Sanchez trying to control the position.
Mako trying to control but Sanchez is working from the bottom. Mako pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Sanchez is keeping the position for now. Sanchez looking for a sweep. Not yet Sanchez, not yet. Sanchez working for a triangle but Mako defends it easily.

That's one minute gone in the round. Mako gets to his feet. Sanchez looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Mako throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Sanchez gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Mako counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Sanchez's guard now. Mako preventing the sweep. George Mako overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Sanchez trying to keep a closed guard but Mako is proving a slippery customer.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Sanchez thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Sanchez has gone for a leg lock! Mako slips out almost immediately though and dives into Sanchez's guard. Mako passes into half guard. Sanchez looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Mako thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Sanchez's head. Mako seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Sanchez does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Mako is taking a breather. Sanchez says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Mako scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Mako uses his free foot to push down on Sanchez's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Sanchez. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Mako has hold of Sanchez's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Sanchez manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mako is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet! Sanchez throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Mako's waist but Mako gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sanchez off to one side. Mako fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Sanchez closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Sanchez is trying for a kimura here. Mako looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Sanchez wins by kimura!
