12 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Don Hall! The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Robert Douchet and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A slapping leg kick lands for O Hare.
A big right from Hall misses. Hall scores with a shot to the body.
Hall throws a nice looking combination but O Hare bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. O Hare throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Eddie O Hare seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. O Hare keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
O Hare takes a body punch but keeps moving. O Hare tries to clinch but Hall moves away and Hall counters with a straight right hand. O Hare throws a low kick but Hall moves out of range easily. O Hare displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Hall throws out the jab. Hall pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Hall is looking to land body kicks. O Hare misses with a kick to the body.
Hall throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hall takes a shot right to the bread basket. O Hare throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Hall tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. O Hare is in Hall's guard. Hall is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! O Hare has his hands clasped together but Hall extends an breaks O Hare's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Hall.
