The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Velasquez tries for a takedown but Comradi circles away easily
and Comradi cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

and Comradi counters with a stiff right hand.
Velasquez has his takedown stuffed
and Comradi counters with a head kick that drops Velasquez to the mat! Velasquez scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!
Peter Comradi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cain Velasquez.
