Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Nick Snow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Richard Nixon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Nick Snow! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Richard Nixon! The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Franklyn Lucas and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nixon changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Snow tries to avoid it but Nixon manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Snow to the ground. Snow escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Nixon throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Snow's waist but Snow gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Nixon off to one side. Nixon closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Snow quickly recovers to half guard. Snow is looking to get back to is feet but Nixon passes into side control.
Nixon prevents Snow from escaping the position. Nixon decides to stand up, so the ref orders Snow to his feet. The fight stays on the outside here - Nixon looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Snow takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Snow misses with a combination
and Nixon holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Nixon keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Snow's efforts to push away. Snow has had enough of the clinch but Nixon keeps him there for the moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nixon softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Snow wants to get back to striking at distance but Nixon won't allow it.
Nixon misses with an elbow over the top. Nixon is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Nixon looking for a takedown. Nick Snow has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Richard Nixon. Nixon wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Nixon looking to slow down the pace here. Snow is trying to push Nixon away but Nixon has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Nixon throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Snow blocks it with crossed arms. Nixon wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Snow breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Snow lands with a thumping leg kick.
Snow swings for the body but Nixon moves out of range.
Nixon moves in looking to clinch but Snow pushes him off. Snow connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Nixon shoots in but no luck this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Snow.
Snow changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Nick Snow is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Snow circles away from the clinch attempt.
Snow swings widly with a right hand
so Nixon counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Nixon looks gassed! Snow wants to stand but Nixon is controlling the position. Snow is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Nixon dives into side control.
Snow is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Nixon has just dragged him back down to the mat. Snow knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Nixon on the ground. Nixon moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nixon has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Nice takedown defense from Snow. No joy for Nixon on that attempt. Nixon keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Nixon shoots in for a takedown but Snow shows good takedown defense. Snow misses with a wild combination.
Nixon steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Snow. Nixon looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Snow is fending him off so far but Nixon persists. Nope, Snow circles away and we're back to standing. Snow tries to bum rush Nixon with a series of wild strikes but Nixon uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Nixon is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Nixon tries for a takedown but Snow sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Nixon misses with a head kick.
Nixon tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Some wild striking there from Snow.
Snow throws a lazy uppercut
and Nixon counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Snow is lucky that one didn't land flush. Snow throws a one two combo.
Nixon walks into a left hand. Snow throws a series of punches but Nixon moves out of range. Snow swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Snow throws a low kick but Nixon avoids it. Nixon keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Snow looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Snow throws a jab but it's blocked by Nixon. Snow throws a combination that misses and Nixon counters by clinching up. Snow breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Richard Nixon will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Nixon shoots in for a takedown but Snow shows good takedown defense. Snow swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Snow pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Nixon back to the cage. Snow follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
It looks like Richard Nixon has been cut. Snow throws a shot to the body.
Snow throws a sloppy body shot
and Nixon counters with a series of strikes. Snow will be more careful next time no doubt. An inside leg kick lands from Snow. A combination from Snow does no damage. Nixon avoids a punch combination nicely.
Snow thuds a left hand into Nixon's body. Snow throws a low kick but Nixon moves out of range easily. Snow swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Nixon counters with a series of strikes. Snow will be more careful next time no doubt. Nixon uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Snow. Nick Snow is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Snow misses with a two punch combination.
Nixon is breathing heavily. Nixon takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Snow will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Snow lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Nixon circles away quickly and effectively. Snow misses with a low kick.

Nixon walks into a stiff left hand from Snow. Snow looks to land a right hand but Nixon moved out of range. Snow misses with the combination.
Nixon shoots in looking for a takedown. Snow tries to sprawl out of it but Nixon keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Snow manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Nick Snow has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Richard Nixon. Snow thows a body shot but no joy. Nixon has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Nixon there as he acknowledges the shot.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. No luck for Nixon with that takedown attempt. Nixon shoots in for a double leg but Snow sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Nixon walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Snow misses with a double jab
and Nixon counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Nixon. Snow escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Snow keeps the fight on the outside. A combination from Snow does no damage. Nixon is looking to clinch. Snow lands a nice shot to the body.
Snow throws a solid leg kick but Nixon takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Snow. Nixon tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Snow swivels and escapes. Snow displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. An inside leg kick from Snow misses. Snow lands a head shot.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Snow clobbers Nixon with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Snow throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Nixon takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. The crowd cheers as Snow lands an impressive looking overhand right. Nixon doesn't seem phased though. Snow throws a looping overhand right but Nixon ducks down to avoid it. Snow throws a low kick but Nixon avoids it. Snow throws a leg kick but Nixon sees it coming and checks it nicely. Nick Snow seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Snow swinging wildly here.
Nixon keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Snow. A leg kick checked by Nixon. A clash of legs there as Nixon blocks the low kick. Nixon keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Snow takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Snow throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Snow throws a combination that misses and Nixon counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Snow! Nixon throwing strikes here but Snow is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Snow wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Nixon is working for a guillotine from mount but Snow frees his head quite easily.
You get the feeling that Snow really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Snow cracks the inside of Nixon's front leg. Nixon misses with a double jab.
Snow ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Nixon moves away. Nixon shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Snow counters with a left and a right that stings Nixon. Nixon checks the leg kick nicely there.
Snow is looking to score with low kicks. Nixon will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Snow moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. A looping hook to the body misses from Snow. Nixon does a little dance to reset his feet. Nixon takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Snow throws a nice looking combination but Nixon bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Nixon fails with a takedown attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Snow connects with a right hand. Nixon shakes it off. Nixon moves away from the strike by Snow. A solid leg kick lands there for Nixon.

and Nixon moves into the clinch. Snow escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Snow throws a right and a left that both miss. Nixon moves away from the strike by Snow. Snow throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Nixon counters with a lovely straight right hand! Nixon is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Snow misses the body punch so Nixon counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Nixon stops Snow from standing up. Nixon is standing up over Snow. Snow looks to escape but Nixon dives into side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nixon wants to control but Snow is keeping him busy. Snow is trying to buck Nixon off. Snow managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Nixon.
Nixon is trying to get an arm triangle but Snow is defending well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nixon prevents Snow from escaping the position. Nixon working the ground and pound. Snow is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Nixon is looking to take a break and control but Snow is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Snow is looking to get back to his feet here but Nixon is keeping cool and he's managed to take Snow's back. Nixon working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet. Nixon trying to control.
And that's the end of the fight! Richard Nixon comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Nixon has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
